You force them to play by their rules, and expose their hypocrisy to the people who still have some common sense and lay it out on display for everyone to see. Marginalize them from the ones they're trying to appeal to by pushing them to the edge and making them play by the rules they set.
That's what's so great about the super-straight thing, watching them flail trying to stop it because it's using the exact message they've been trying to proselytize against them.

I know for me it's because I don't see a actual plan to fix this. People around here are going "We'll get them next time" failing to realize if we let this go without consequences, there won't be a next time. Voting doesn't fucking matter if we don't do something to fix this now. I'd rather throw my support behind people like this that are still fighting their darndest than saying "oh we'll fix it at the local level by voting local!" , forgetting that doesn't do a lick of good if these people refuse to follow the rules that are set already at the local and state levels and the federal government continues to let them get away with it.
If we could get people behind these efforts and direct them tot the right people, then I bet we'd make alot more headway.
