The other day wife was talking with her sister in law who lives in Ohio.
She had been talking to some of the neighbors on her cul-de-sac who told her that they had recently sought out COVID tests.
They didn't anticipate the demand, however. When they got there, they filled out all of the paperwork to sign up for testing and the person who checked them in told them there might be a significant wait.
So, they waited. And they waited. And they waited, literally for over an hour.
Finally, disgusted with how long it was taking, they went home.
A few days later, they get a call from the facility...
You guessed it. Both "tested" positive.
Of course, the couple argued with the representative on the phone, but it did no good. Those went down on the record as two positive cases, despite the fact that neither of them had even touched a swab.
When you encounter someone who insists that we have to upend our lives because COVID positive numbers are going up, add this to the list of reasons to explain to the person that they are full of it.
If you have a moment today, take the time to push back at the Nanny State and have a little fun.
Find a "report your neighbor" hotline from another jurisdiction/state and make the call. For bonus points, make the subject of your call a prominent politician who's wanting to keep the lockdown going.
Increase the signal-to-noise ratio enough, and the lines become unusable. Just like DeBlazi's did in NY.
Share your reports here so that we can all have a good laugh.
Remember, we're all in this together.
