No. Power is concentrated in LA and SF. You have to understand that the cities being shitholes is a DRAW for all the worst scum. Rather than normalizing, the cities have gotten more and more radical. The people who want to live there see all the homeless, the shit and drugs on the streets as a POSITIVE, which creates a feedback loop, driving sane people out and garbage in. CA won't change until it completely collapses.

Silicon valley is a literal dystopia. You see billboards advertising startups no ones every heard of. Everything you interact with has to do with some new tech. At the same time, you see shit on the streets, hobos everywhere doing drugs and being aggressive, and broken car glass on every street.
There's more trump signs and support because a majority of the land area support trump. The problem is that a significant population lives in la and sf where they welcome shit on the streets and needles in the gutters. Some even see it as virtuous. The problem is that it's a positive feedback loop, where shitty situation attracts shitty people who in turn vote to make it worse, driving all the sane people away.
Theres no hope for the state. I recently decided to move to nevada or texas. Despite there being some nice suburbs, power is concentrated around SF and LA. People living in cities are either rich enough to not care about good governance, or too poor that they need handouts to survive. The democratic machine in the state is too strong and will pull whatever shit they need to. We lost a lot of seats last election due to ballot harvesting. Governors can waste billions on high speed railways and stupid regulations banning everything only to never feel the effects of their legislation while their more radical successor takes office. I hoped things would get better, that having literal shit on the streets would be a wakeup call, but I realized that the people who are willing to live in the cities don't care. The only way that CA turns now is if it completely implodes. Moving out and taking my tax payments with me is more helpful than anything I can by staying.
