Not really. What's going to happen?
Police arrest them? Doesn't matter, Soros DA will drop charges.
Get hit by rubber bullets or tear gas? That can hurt a bit, but usually no permanent damage unless you get hit in the eye. (and if they get hit in the eye, they can hit the lawsuit lottery suing police for excessive force)
Mess with the wrong guy and get beat up? They usually wait for overwhelming numbers (20:1 or more) to attack someone. Even though DAs refuse to prosecute them, the full force of the law will come down on anyone who wins a fight with them.
Impeachment - forget it, need 2/3 in the Senate for that to not just be a freakshow circus. You need a majority in the Senate to get them to not just dismiss the impeachment without any debate.
It does take crazy things off the table, like packing the court, making Puerto Rico a state, eliminating the filibuster, etc.
It's actually even worse than the poster imagines. They're going to hire an unqualified BIPOC to be the new boss. Then, there's going to be friction between the new boss and OP. No matter how much OP tries to suck up to the new boss, the new boss will hate him for being more qualified.
Not only did OP miss out on the promotion, but OP will also be out of a job soon.
If the judge really had balls, he should make him get on the witness stand and take the fifth in front of the jury. (You can't force a defendant to do that, but a prosecution witness certainly can be forced to do that.)
There's only two things that will put an end to the rioting and looting.
-
Arrest people and prosecute them. A lot of the people arrested at riots are repeat offenders. Take them off the streets for a few years. The most violent core group is a couple hundred people.
-
Start using live ammunition. Change the rules so that police and individuals can use lethal force again riots and looting.
Here's the thing I don't understand. How often does resisting arrest actually work? Does it really get the police to back down? It seems that resisting arrest is statistically an idiot move. Even if you manage to get away, they're going to chase you and arrest you again eventually.
I'm also not referring to Antifa mobs "dearresting" someone. That's a separate problem.
Statistically, every few weeks, some criminal is going to do something stupid and get killed. Even the most recent incident with idiot taser female cop, the criminal resisted arrest, which contributed to him getting shot.
If it isn't Chauvin, it's going to be something else. They already have organized riot teams and looting teams. They're just waiting for the next excuse to destroy things.
In 2020, they had already decided there would be election year race riots. If it wasn't Chauvin, it would have been some other incident setting it off.
If your name is on Antifa's list, an angry mob burns down your home.
If your name is on conservative's list, there are posts on the Internet about how mean you are.
Pretty sure it's much safer to be on the conservative hit list than on Antifa's hit list.
One of the main features of government is monopoly on legitimized use of force. The only group that can use threat of violence to get what they want is the government (via court summons, warrants, etc., with violence only when you refuse).
If there's another group that's able to use threat of violence to get what they want, and force the government's police to back down, then you don't have a government anymore.
The media is to blame. Imagine if the riots and looting were national headline news every time it happened? There would be an outcry for it to stop, and police would be given the authority to do what's necessary. Imagine if the media gave as much negative attention to rioting and looting as they gave negative attention to Trump?
Their "justification" is that black culture is a real and legitimate thing, but white culture is something that only white supremacists like.
