Beside the fact that USBs are lost, why the heck is crucially important voter data is transferred on freaking USBs? This is the least reliable and secure way to do it. Plenty of opportunities of data loss and manipulation/fraud.
It's 10^-39134. Even if with a probability of each single vote for Biden of 0.99 instead of 0.5 (99 out of 100): 0.99^130000 = 10^-567. 999 out of 1000 for Biden: 0.999^130000 = 10^-56. No matter how you cut it, 130000 straight votes for the same candidate is impossible.
The poll workers couldn't fix anything. They were as confused as me. They called somebody (I'm assuming from the board) and told me the database cannot be updated easily (or quickly), which kind of makes sense, there is a voter registration deadline for a reason. They gave me an affidavit ballot. I hope this was some kind of mistake and not the intentional fraud.
So I went to vote early yesterday, and at the pollsite I discovered that my voter registration address was changed without my knowledge (doesn't match my actual address). In NY, all registered voters have a VSN (voter serial number). I know my number, I received it in the mail this September. Is this some kind of voter registration fraud? What can be done about it?
And for what? Measly $1000? God, these crooks are cheap.
