There is no typical Catholic, in my observation. We know that 85% of baptized and confirmed Catholics don't go to Mass every Sunday. When I look in the communion line (Sundays but not weekdays), I believe 80+% have mortal sin attached to them and don't even believe in the true presence.

This is expected, based on contemporary secular culture. There is constant temptation and instant gratification with smoking weed and playing nintendo games all day, compared with learning to pray the Rosary and going to Confession.

We have free will to make various choices. The behavior of Catholics and non-Catholic Christians can never negate the narrow path Jesus provides.
