Can we get a fact check on the bit about the press? Was Lincoln really dragged through the mud in the papers the way that DJT is on the internet? Hard to believe because of how Lincoln is portrayed in the history books.
It will get worse before it gets better. All the way up to (and including the day of) the election, we'll see more violence, TDS, media bashing, etc. each day. And I think the dems are planning for the inevitable outcome of Trump winning the election and doubling down on everything for the next 4 years. The key for us will be winning control of congress, not just the presidency.
Very similar experience here. I saved a bunch of PTO to take 2 weeks off at Christmas/NYE, and ended up being sick for most of it. Finally went to the doctor on Christmas Eve, and after a bunch of tests he determined that I had bronchitis caused by some "unknown respiratory virus." He said it looked like I was on the tail end of it and didn't want to prescribe me anything since it looked like I was fighting it off on my own (wish I'd gone sooner...ugh). We're 100% convinced that I had COVID. I've heard too many stories like yours and, when combined with my own experience, makes it too hard to believe that it's just coincidence.
I feel like this is one of those "common ground" things we can agree on with blue voters. Most people in my life that are traditionally left-leaning actually agree with us on big tech and pedo culture. Where I lose them is they can't wrap their tiny brains around the fact that Biden would make each of those 100x worse. But they at least acknowledge that it's a problem, so that's a start.
Lost ballots are not the issue. Republicans are going to vote in person for the most part. The issue is states that do mass mail-in ballots are subject to thousands and thousands of fake ballots being turned in, so that even if every single Republican in the state voted for Trump, it's impossible for him to win. That's the game. Backup plan is to drag it out and make it as convoluted as possible so that we don't actually know who won.
Not a terrible strategy to go after low hanging fruit first to build momentum and seed dissent among the conspirators. Make them think the low hangers are selling everyone else up the river for plea deals, and they will lash out making themselves vulnerable.
I sat through this queue twice to finally talk to someone, and when I asked about Goodyear's ban against political attire from their employees I got an instant, automatic response along the lines of "I only have information about the purchasing of new tires and do not have any information about other topics." Seems they have rolled this out as an auto-response to anyone jamming up their online chat feature right now.
True, close friend of mine that still uses Fakebook said one of his "friends" from college (a black girl) posted that she was "keeping a list" of all her friends who have kept their silence during this whole thing because silence is violence. I told him to send an anonymous tip to the FBI about a potential serial killer.
I would rather pray that the man who is having an internal battle about whether to go out and protest tonight just decides to stay home.
