How does this help? In what scenario does this lead to the de-Inauguration of Biden? And if it doesn't, legit question: what difference, at this point, does it make? They're still making policy, and their electoral shenanigans will still be in place and even if not, and DJT somehow makes it back onto the ballots, they'll invent new shenanigans again and get the same faces back on board. Rinse, repeat.
Why would the Dems give it up, even for the midterms? They know their win would depend on the continuance of the current lockdowns - the ONLY justification for the mail-ins - because people are allowing for the current one but like hell would stand for a "new" 'second' lockdown (the winter lockdowns were seen by most, I think, as a continuance of the Spring ones with a summer interlude-like lull).
And without the mail-ins, the machines are not enough. They needed EVERYTHING - INCLUDING the mail-ins - to overcome DJT's lead in those key states. Lose one cog of that infrastructure and they're done for AND THEY KNOW IT. Hence they'll try to come up with every excuse to move the goalposts on the lockdowns thru at least Fall 2022. Just watch.
