Compare this to the last one we wanted and you'll see we're giving up a lot here." If that one doesn't fly either, then they'll water it down even more and do it again.
The goal is only to get a few restrictions, then a few more later, then a few more after that until they get what they want.

If I remember correctly, legislatures cannot call for direct legal actions against private citizens. Those would be bills of attainder, and the US constitution doesn't allow them. It's one of he reasons a president can't be impeached after he's left office.

The majority of Trump voters don't want a third party, Forming a third party could work but reforming the Republican party and winning that way is easier and would take less time. There is already infighting within the Republican party between MAGA and the establishment. We can use that, as well as the threat of forming a third party and splitting the vote, to allow us to actually get more MAGA people in as Republicans.
Because the majority of the people who voted for Trump don't want a new party. They want their party back, they want it's leadership to represent them. There are more people who supported and voted for him than just the people that post on this site.
Reforming the Republican party and winning is easier than creating a brand new party, convincing all of your old voters to switch to it, getting enough politicians to run as part of it, and getting it on the ballot in every state. Especially when everything you say and do is being censored.
Could a third party work? Yes; but it would take several election cycles and during that time the democrats would win everything because the vote on the right would be split. The threat of starting a new party is what is being used to get Republicans to fall in line in the short term. It's also what's allowing infighting in the party to continue, and what will allow us to actually get more MAGA people in.

He's a perpetual optimist and positive thinker. Therefore he doesn't see any reason to not be happy or relaxed most of the time because he believes that no matter what barrier is put in front of him, he'll find a way through it.
At the same time, he has a drive to get even with the people who he feels have wronged him in the past.
This is just like the goggles they tried pushing last summer. They pushed pretty hard on it for a few days, then gave up when nobody took it seriously. Birx was even talking about how it could be fun and you could decorate them.
The difference with this though, is that there are people who have been doing already for months now. I know people that wear 1 mask outside, and then put on a second one when they go indoors.
This whole experience has taught me that people are much much stupider and more gullible than I ever thought, and I never set that bar high either. It's insane.
They seem to be removing them in batches. I noticed the rating go from 3.2 after the original removal then to 3.9, and now it's at 4.2, which is higher then what I saw it at before all the bad reviews hit.

You're going to have to cut some of these guys a break on the January 6th stuff. If Robert Barnes and others with inside knowledge are to be believed, the majority of the house and senate had no idea what Trump's actual arguments were, had not been shown any evidence, and thought that everything was based around the kraken cases. Rudy did not do a good job of making sure they had the information they needed.
Speaking out on this topic isn't going to ingratiate Rand with the establishment. In fact the fact that he is will almost definitely mean he gets targeted... again.
I don't think Trump understood just how corrupt the swamp was when he went in. He knew it was bad; but not this bad. He though he could go in and work with people and they would go along with his ideas because it would benefit everyone. It wasn't until 2020, and then after Nov 3, that he really started to get the idea. At that point his past decisions had screwed him over. He didn't have the advisors he should have because they were all establishment. He didn't have loyalty in leadership positions because they were also almost all establishment and he did didn't have the DOJ, FBI, and CIA on his side because he never cleaned house and restructured them like he should have.
I agree, he needs to show that he won't let it happen again.
He handles almost everything fine really. He's such and optimistic and positive thinker that nothing really get him down. He just sees everything as a new obstacle he will overcome.

What are people who live in very small towns far away from big cities supposed to do? To my knowledge the range on most of these electric cars hasn't really increased. What if somebody has (or had) a 2+ hour drive to work?
I'm not one of these people; but I know a few of them. These are the type of people who still can't get good internet because the cable companies won't run anything out that far and they have no cell signal at their home.

Trump was too nice he got in. We need to make sure that whoever we get in next has tons of backup and support because the entire leadership of DC needs purged and replaced, and the FBI / CIA / DOJ need cleaned out and restructured.
The main issue I have with a third party option is that it would take a while to become effective. The split between it and the Republicans would hand the next few elections to the Democrats. The Patriot party could win out and cause the Republicans to disappear but it would take a while and I don't know if we have that kind of patience, or time.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out. The MSM leaned so far into the fear and panic that I know a lot of people who think sending their kids back to school is too dangerous, they think the CDC saying this stuff is crazy because they've all heard of local positive cases in schools.
I don't know if the propaganda can be changed like this without causing a dew people to short circuit.
