The protester in the stream who mentioned the news said she thought it may have been to just quell the anger. She specifically mentioned that even if the femeale officer did commit suicide, it's not enough and that she thinks people should continue "protesting".
This is what improper training and attention does. Any male officer could very well make the same exact mistake.
Was just coming in to say that. Our machines and voting process is as fucked as any. Went in to vote, went to hand them my id and they said it wasn't necessary just confirm name and first part of address. MN was red this year, even democrats were talking before the election on how scared they were that MN was going to flip red.
Increased funding to these departments would make for better employees so stuff like this was less likely to happen. I would also argue this is two-fold. Women, like men, should be able to become police but whether they're physically AND mentally fit should play a large factor in hiring.
Too many obese cops that can't run as fast as the person they're pursuing or being too weak to be able to properly restrain people. And they need to mentally be able to handle their fear and panic. This lady sounds worried and I'd guess was worried about being physically overpowered. That resulted in a huge mistake.
Someone was saying she committed suicide. I haven't verified that yet.
Edit: I've searched around and have not found anything saying she has suicided. The source was a protestor in Portland Andy's live stream of Brooklyn Center last night.

People are pissed, we know what to expect with Trump, we know the policies, we know the accomplishments. We know there is a swamp and there's a plug somewhere too. The people who voted to impeach him are part of the filth in that swamp. We want that plug pulled, retribution is only one way to start tugging on that plug.

It's actually a good thing for us when people resign. Teams need to work together for a while to get a handle on a situation or it's a spiral that accelerates to disaster. Now someone else less familiar with the situation will need to take over, get to know new people, get to know the situation, get to know the old bosses ways of working.

You can demonstrate this easily. Grab a tennis ball, a ping pong ball, and a small marble. The tennis ball being a small particle like a grain of sand, ping pong ball being a smell particle from a fart or forest fire smoke, and small marble being the virus.
Now try to shove the tennis ball through the fencing, doesn't work. Expected. Now try to shove through the ping pong ball, it goes through the fence easily. Expected, as you can smell a fart, smoke, or flowers while wearing the mask. Isn't it reasonable that if the ping pong ball fits, the marble will too? :O
