I would recommend trying Brave. I've been using it on my desktop and laptop and it's been great. I haven't switched on my phone yet, I'm about to get a new one (and now interested in OPs suggestion, which I had not heard of) so I can't vouch for it for phones, but I would imagine they did it well.
By the way, this doesn't work with other video hosting sites, but if you do a search for 'how to download videos from --- ' whatever site you're at, there are video saving sites where you basically copy and paste the url into a box and hit enter to save. Very easy to do.
I'll tell you a very easy way to save youtube videos. At the bottom right of the screen, click on the word Youtube so you view it at the actual Youtube site. Now, when you are there, go to the address bar. Where you see the youtube.com and the rest of the address -- now, between the e in youtube and the . in .com, place the number 45 (just like potus!) when you do that - for instance ... youtube45.com -- then click enter. When you click enter, a screen will come up that allows you to download. Click on the download button and it will download the video for you and open it in another window. Save EVERYTHING!!!
