have voted by mail for over 10 years in my state - what everyone needs to realize is it doesn't matter how you vote its in the counting where you get corruption. my state allows me to vote way before hand via mail and then I can verify my vote online to see A. it was accepted B. it was correct. This doesn't stop anyone from changing behind the scenes, just like you walking in and voting in person - tired of hearing about mail in fraud - if your election officials are corrupt, they don't need mail in ballots to cheat you out of your vote.

that happened to me in the private sector but i don't have big government to help me out - now i am a drunk that still has to go to his 55hr week job.

copay for me and wife is 350 every 2 weeks and we have a 5k deductible - don't piss on your healthcare benefits they are way better than most private sector no matter what you think. I feel bad for the people I work with that have kids cause the copay for them is insane. you may or may not make less than private sector but you stay where you are because of the benefits. if it sucks so much go get a private job

i agree - even if they are effective - as long as people don't wear and care for them correctly, they are just wasting everyone's time. I truly believe I am helping not spread by wearing - I have recovered from COVID and I am sure I can no longer carry this strain, but maybe by example I will convince other people to wear a mask properly. One other thing - another member of this site proposed maybe the Chinese are pushing propaganda to us that mask are bad to 1.) cause more division here in the United States - when we spend out time in-fighting, it makes it easier for them to get away with stuff 2.) spread the disease they created as quickly as they can and kill as many people as they can. That sounds like another possible reason why you are seeing articles and doctors online that say masks don't work. Putting a fake article and tagging with a real physician's name is pretty easy. So still trusting my source and also the tons of articles online that are pro mask.

So ONE senior citizen life isn't worth a little inconvenience of a mask? I have looked at other sources as well, but I trust my source who collaborates with an entire network of doctors that are in my area. I am really more concerned with my area and the areas where my family and loved ones live, but I really don't want to think I didn't do some as simple as wearing a mask that could have stopped 1 death. Once they come out with a vaccine (I'm not telling you get vaccinated) and enough people are vaccinated and have antibodies or are immune because they have had it, recovered from it and have antibodies, we don't have to worry as much about spread - so the mask wearing isn't going to be forever. President Trump says wearing a mask will help Ohio's governor (a conservative) just put a mask mandate in place for the entire state. My state, Florida, has some businesses closed (bars) from order of our conservative governor but no mask mandate yet, but my city has a mask mandate that was put into effect after the post spring break spread. I am sure many other states will follow. Do you feel all these elected officials who are Republican and conservative are doing these things because there is no science behind it? Are they part of this mask and virus conspiracy? How about we all just get on board and do what the science tells us instead of saying mask are bad. I want to get the economy rolling again, and this seems to be what is slowing it down. I think if you want President Trump to have a better shot in November you should do your best to get the economy moving.

sorry if i seem to berating you - but not sure what you are agreeing with - the masks may help? or the lefties are going to use the economy against him? Personally, i see the downturn as out of his control and I know we all hate more regulations which I think he was trying to avoid with any kind of mask mandate. I don't buy into the conspiracy that hospitals are raking in cash by saying a patient has COVID - my direct contact into that world is telling me contrary and I am going to believe her more than someone posting something on YouTube. I can verify she works for a medical facility - people on YouTube may be fake. So, I know COVID is real - have posted multiple times on multiple threads and I have have even shared my experience with contracting COVID and testing positive - I did not have to be hospitalized - like most of the patients my physician contact deals with. I believe what she is telling me about masks and that they work to reduce infected people from spreading on. I also believe if for no other reason than to get the economy rolling - all us conservatives should wear mask and go out shopping proudly. If we would all just own this than it is one less thing they can use against the president come fall.

I think President Trump has always agreed with masks - he never said don't wear one to my knowledge - but with having access to the best health care available I don't think he's worries and doesn't like to wear one - heck i don't either. i can't buy into this line of thinking from what i have seen with a physician in the family who is talking to me multiple time a week about the goings on they witness first hand. Perhaps some hospitals are doing this and making money by doing it, but i think the majority are not. to coordinate something on this scale - get a majority of hospitals to misreport data seems unreal. and i still don't see how the hospital benefits from having a liberal in office? from what i've seen its difficult to coordinate care from one hospital to another let alone some huge conspiracy to manipulate data. if someone is manipulating - maybe it is out the hospital... but i think the hospitals would speak up since they are loosing money overall. I also think the hospitals are loosing far more money than they would receive in any form of bailout. I know firsthand the hospital my relative is working for is pushing for more visits (telehealth - not in person) to make up for the losses they are seeing. my family member is getting burned out since these visits are just as difficult and they pay the hospital less. something doesn't add up here imo.

that is not how i read your post - i thought you were saying there is no such thing as Corona Virus or the disease COVID 19. Which seems to be a theme in some of the posts. You are not saying the virus and disease are fake, just saying it may be misrepresented. I am always one that follows money to try to figure out why people would do certain things. If what you say is true - how does labeling deaths improperly that results in lost jobs do anyone any good? if the hospitals are loosing money you'd think they would make sure a narrative that is causing a money lose would be changed as quickly as possible. i just can't see this adding up - don't understand what the goal is? to get a liberal elected and get rid of private insurance? that would result in less profits for hospitals.

can you show me proof of these nurses and doctors indicating this is a lie? I have a physician in the family who says the hospital she works for is loosing money due to COVID policies - I can't see hospitals pushing some agenda just to loose money. That doesn't make sense. I can give you more details if you wish - but I get tired of hearing about the sources when I am hearing directly from a family member who is dealing with this head on. congrats on the promotion. i know a lot of people see this mask thing turning into a brainwashed public, but I am not convinced. I think the virus will go away one day and people will forget about masks. I also may be more religious than others on the site, but i try to live "do unto other's rule" and if someone that has to deal one on one with the public all day feels a little bit better about being protected while doing their sucky job just because I am wearing a mask, I can manage that. Who know - maybe Trump has more info than we do about this virus and the masks will help. I really don't understand the whole I don't want to wear a mask thing. If it takes wearing a mask to be able to continue going into public and stores which will help keep the economy running, than I'm in. If the economy crashes right before the election, then I think President Trump is going to have a harder time picking up the swing voters. I think we should help him by wearing masks.

I really think it was twitter scraping usernames and possibly email & IP addresses from this site to cross reference the twitter info to narrow down where they can find the qanon people. i don't subscribe to qanon's theories but if you already believe the deep state is forcing their will on twitter, than my statement isn't even a leap.

am with you on qanon being bunk, but twitter is its own company and can't violate first amendment rights by allowing and not allowing content on its site - they aren't silencing people who are speaking in a public space - twitter owns the space. and if you are a qanon supporter, you are probably to blame for the attacks on this site - i am sure this site isn't the most secure site on the web. so basically you probe this site and cross reference the data you get - email addresses, ip addresses, usernames, etc, then cross reference with twitter and there you go, an easy list of people to watch or ban. i am sure this has been done with many of the right leaning sites - especially those promoting the qanon conspiracy stuff.

After writing a long comment to this post, I came up with an idea - Instead of fueling the fire by saying COVID is fake or masks are an infringement of rights, lets take the power out of this. We are told COVID either kills you or you recover and then are non-contagious after 2 weeks of not showing symptoms. We are also told if everyone wears a mask, this virus doesn't really spread. If EVERYONE would wear a mask for 1 month, then according to the liberals own message, we should be back to normal with the roaring economy we had just 6 months ago. I say lets give it 6 weeks and take the power out the argument prior to the election.

So I have had COVID 19, about the same symptoms as the flu for me - no hospital needed, but it still wasn't fun. I got over it without any prescription medication. I did get a positive test result after going to the clinic to see what the hell was wrong. I only tested once and then remained at home for 2 weeks after going in for the test. I was over it in about a week.

I live in Florida and we aren't shutdown - DeSantis, our Republican governor and friend of The Pres is doing his best to keep everything open except bars and nursing homes/assisted living facilities - DeSantis mandated the nursing home closing near the beginning of the outbreak. He also had the typical lockdown and tried to make all the NY fucks fleeing down here stay quarantined and away from our healthy population. Well, they didn't listen and we also had tons of people come to the state for spring break.

So want to say COVID is something you can catch and it is deadly to older people - more so than younger people - just like the flu. Thing is this virus is easier to spread than the flu, so that is why it is more deadly - easier to catch.

I think if wearing a mask so I can go out to support local businesses is something they say I need to do, I'm going to do it so I can help the economy - not to mention if the workers in those businesses are afraid of me breathing on them cause they think they'll catch COVID and spread to older loved ones, I think a mask is something I don't mind doing to give them piece of mind and keep them coming to work. Seems a lot of people on here hate wearing masks, but i see it as an easy thing to do to keep the economy from shutting down. You may say I am caving to the pressure of the liberals, but what if we all banded together and said lets do these simple things they say will stop the spread and get the economy rolling again. Take that power away from them! They can't close down the polls if everyone says, sure we'll wear a mask to the poll, no problem. They can't close non-essential businesses if we're doing all the things they say will stop the spread - but when we rally against it, it fuels the fire - and it could really be spreading this virus. I know it is real and I know we don't have enough info about it and how it spreads.

I like the meme, but hate to break it to you, my governor, Ron DeSantis did the same thing here in Florida. He did that in March, lifted it for spring break, now imposed it again. Have no idea why i can get a beer with food, but not just a beer. I have been posting on a bunch of these COVID posts cause a lot of folks think COVID is a hoax - I caught it - had a bit of a rough week but didn't need to be hospitalized. I beat it, but I know some of the older folks here didn't. I will agree that if you get it it may be only as deadly as flu but what makes this more deadly is that it spreads like wildfire - unlike the flu which is more difficult to catch. I am not sure what the answer is, but I know we're in this one with the fucking liberals. Someone replied to one of my posts that maybe China released this and is trying to keep Americans from working together to make sure they can kill as many of us as possible - now that makes a lot of sense to me. I am not sure what the answer is here - just relaying what I've seen and maybe we need to start thinking of ways to not spread it more.

Going to propose this - why not all of us try - not because anyone is telling us to, but because we want life to get back to normal and we want the economy to get moving again? If this virus only lasts 2 weeks - and everyone wears a mask for 4 weeks as a test then we can find out if the masks work. If it doesn't then we say fuck the masks, got any other ideas? I am going with what i know - surgeons wear masks when they are cutting on you so they don't infect you, not so you don't infect them. You may be onto something here - let more Americans die and keep it chaotic and maybe they can get more solid footing so they can eventually take us over. My thoughts on the masks are: surgeons wear masks not to protect themselves from catching something but so they don't infect an open wound. And the mask thing has been all over the place - first it was masks can make it worse, then if you don't wear a mask you can spread... but I think I'm sticking with what I know - masks stop doctors from giving patients something they may have and not know. When doctors are afraid of catching something from a patient, they don't put on a mask - they put on that hazmat shit. I know a lot of the folks here hate that some states (mine did) have mandated masks, but I am taking the stance I'm wearing one so I can get back to work - call me a sheep or a pussy all you want, but if I can get back to normal by doing it, I'm going to try - why not try shit to get us back to normal?
