Frankly, it’s exactly what people who are critical of law enforcement, including some in the BLM crowd, are talking about. Poor police training. But their conclusion is not to improve training, rather to defund it and hire more people who make unsuitable police.
In a situation like this, a tense situation where a suspect starts struggling, the adrenaline kicks in. A person who’s job involves these types of situation should be trained to handle the adrenaline. Cops, soldiers, pilots, w/e.
There is zero margin for error here. Yes he was wanted on a gun charge. Yes he resisted. Yes he dindu nuffin. He still should have come away from that arrest alive. Like I said in another post, this lady just did what Derek Chauvin is accused of doing.
Not to lose my racist street cred, but I don’t like Derek Chauvin. He strikes me as a typical asshole cop. That whole crew that arrested George Floyd seemed like pricks. And George Floyd, hooped up felon that he was, came across as the victim in that video. But he wasn’t. He was responsible for his own death. And, assholes that those cops were, they handled that arrest professionally. Streets like these, in high crime areas, need asshole cops. Well trained, unpleasant, no bullshit cops to keep the animals in line.
Meanwhile, our girl here, clearly had no business on the street. But you watch the public will be quick to forgive her because vagina and no critique of diversity hires will arise. Even though such critique is exactly what we need if we are going to end the violence in poor black neighborhoods, we are just plain to honked for that to happen.
