Fair enough. There are plenty of reasons people shouldn't be able to vote. My only point was that if someone should otherwise be able to vote, finances shouldn't be a disqualifier.
The Republicans in Florida set up this clusterfuck. They passed legislation that changed "felons can't vote" (reasonable) to "felons can't vote unless they've paid their legal fees" (fucking insane).
The sad part is that the judge is correct. We shouldn't disenfranchise anyone who should otherwise be allowed to vote just because of their financial situation.
