As it stands now, I simply give my chickens my scraps or I put them directly in the garden beneath mulch. But, when I need to have large amounts of nice compost for seed starting or for my greens beds, I use the SPICE composting method.

In my opinion, if carbon levels are increasing due to the burning of fossil fuels, shutting down "non essential" workers, would do very little to reduce carbon emissions.
The majority of the worlds' carbon emissions come from the production and trade of food. This is because it takes 10 calories of fossil fuels to produce one calorie of food, using our current, conventional, petrol-farming model.
This doesn't even factor in the shipping of all these goods to and back from foreign countries for processing on giant cargo container ships, which are probably the 2nd largest contributor to carbon emissions.
Now, if you actually believe the global warming nonsense, and you want to do something about it, here is what you can do:
Grow your own food using organic or permaculture methods. Use local farming inputs. Buy from local farmers.
The state of South Carolina has re-planted all its state forests into pine straw harvesting businesses. They use extensive illegal alien labor to accomplish this goal. This needs to end now.
