Funny thing is, he said something to the tune of get the light in there (UV light) and they heard, get the lysol in there.

Yes, there was an expert that was talking about disinfectants on surfaces. Later, Trump chimes in and says, perhaps we could do something like that, but with the body (like a disinfectant does with surfaces). So a reporter says, Trump, are you telling people to inject bleach... Trump said no. So they are drawing a line between Trump saying we could do something like a disinfectant but with the body, and what the REPORTER, not Trump said. It was sort of a rambling statement in Trump style, but in no way was he suggesting using bleach. Old media trick, Trump says its a nice day, media say, so Mr President are you actually suggesting its a nice day to lynch black people, then headlines say TRUMP SAYS LYNCH BLACK PEOPLE reeeeeeee. Thats it in a nutshell, paraphrasing.

Do not comply. I was just sitting at home.

Most probably sat through a conference on UV therapy, hydrogen peroxide therapies and such, and refers to them as disinfectants, not the best choice of words, but by no means saying inject bleach, only the reporter said that, put words in his mouth, and by saying it was sarcasm, you are admitting you in essence said, when actually only the reporter said that.

Yup, he was obviously not joking, but did nothing wrong. This is how Trump speaks, he calls businesses beautiful, says we have tremendous beautiful doctors, etc... Media will have their fun with this one, already are. Reporter lays the trap, he unfortunately stepped in it. I have no other example that I can point out where Trump has done this. This was a goof, we own it, no need to dig further and pull the old.. I meant to do that.

THANK YOU!!!!! I love GEOTUS, but this is digging a hole he was not in, in the first place. Its like wiping out on your skateboard and saying, I MEANT TO DO THAT. No. Was a bad move. Now they run with this. Nothing he said yesterday was anything like suggesting to inject bleach. A reporter did that with the old trick... YOu say something like... we have a fine economy, and the reporter says, to clarify, you are saying we have a fine economy because you are a racist and hate the black people Mr President, is that what you are saying. NO, Trump NEVER mentioned bleach, that was a reporter. Same ole lucy pulling the ball away from charlie brown media trick.

wait, are we talking about the same thing? What he said yesterday, "is there something like that, that we can do" almost like a cleaning. That was not a joke, he was not even the slightest bit joking. Also, there is nothing wrong with what he said, because he did not say anything close to inject bleach... In essence, it was like saying, we use disinfectants to clean surfaces, is there something ALMOST like that we can do with the body. Maybe you are talking about something else, but if you watch that presser, and you think I am thick because I dont believe he was joking, you are being disingenuous. He was not being funny, this was not funny Trump, it was serious Trump.

I would not call it a lie, it was a jab at the media, however, yesterday, it was not a sarcastic question, it was a bit of a rambling statement/question, but by no means is saying something like a disinfectant but for the body = inject bleach.

Watch it yourself and tell me with a straight face he was being sarcastic.

4
handpeople 4 points ago +5 / -1

I saw no sarcasm it what he said yesterday, he just never construed using household cleaners. Now the media gets to run with this... "I meant to do that". No, he had nothing to answer to, he never said inject bleach, or suggested it, and he was not being sarcastic in not doing so.

I would go with joking now. I have seen Trump being sarcastic, in no way was he being sarcastic. This was akin to "I meant to do it". Now the media has two stories to run with.

You can watch it, he obviously was not. This is digging himself into a hole he was never in to begin with. It was not a joke, it was not sarcasm, he was very serious when talking about it, however, he never said to inject bleach or even slightly suggested or construed that.

2
handpeople 2 points ago +3 / -1

Its also very condescending... AMERICA dont put bleach. Uh ok, der, duh, cuz I was gonna do it.

3
handpeople 3 points ago +4 / -1

I dont think it was a joke. Backstory is, a journalist suggest bleach, Trump said something like a disinfectant for the body. Then... A journalist said, are you suggesting bleach, where then, the President said no, not with the body, stationary objects. Thats the story, it wasnt a joke, it wasnt sarcastic, Trump was not suggesting, and he never suggested, and never in fact even said BLEACH.

Yeah, turns out they are indeed using an injection disinfectant in studies to treat COVID, UV light irradiation has been used in clinical studies to inactivate SARS, so the media turns that into injecting bleach and removing skin to let sun in.

He was talking about emerging strategies, just watched it, you would need a bridge to turn it into injecting bleach, or even suggesting using something to make the stretch. WOW.

No, just hearing the reeeee crowd saying Trump said to inject bleach, wondering where the origin of this (statement) comes from. Not in particular to this story here.

What is this injecting bleach nonsense that is showing up everywhere? Been away for a bit, what new fake news is going on now?

Maybe because now the 10 gallons of gas it takes to make the equivalent electric energy of 1 gallon of gas will now be affordable?

The Fat Boys have not had a good hit since 1986. No wonder they are blaming Trump.
