Bottom line, shutdown is hurting Trumps poll numbers. People are blaming Trump for being bored. Regardless of what you think about polls, Trump had higher ratings regarding Corona virus handling in March before the duration of the lockdown. This is why Dems dont want it to end.
we are also killing people with the virus. The only way out of this is to develop a herd immunity. I understand the flatten the curve strategy, but after that curve, there is no way quarantine will continue to do us any good. All we do by continuing a quarantine is kill more people. If we allow kids back in school, they develop immunity, if we allow people to get back to work (healthy people under 65 or 70) they develop immunity. Finally, older people and health compromised people come out of lockdown, and they do not have to come back to a country where 80% of the citizens have not yet developed an immunity.
