Its not the virus so much, its the panic, some of it justified. Factory workers are not showing up for work in China, oil demand down 25%, economy in China is contracting. I would not show up for work if I lived in China either. China is lying about infection counts, so I cannot call that panic. This contraction is a major cause of the markets falling, and I expect a long way down, especially if the virus does not subside in the summer. Wait until it hits here, even more panic.
I am planning for closer to the elections. Panic will not hit critical mass for a couple months, although there is a possibility virus dies down in spring, resuming next year. But yeah, major investment opportunity ahead, just dont think we have seen near the worst of it yet.

Oh I believe the percentages are still accurate. Trump is something of a rock star, I am sure there are people (Dems) who go, and wont vote for him. But ultimately, 5% of dems voting for Trump would be catastrophic for the Dems, and I think thats an overly conservative estimate. Yes, there is no way I will be alive in November and not vote, so I am not getting complacent.
