Make it go viral that every legislator, both in the House and in the Senate, are expected to do two things on live video camera that should be no problem for any American citizen that is law abiding and just:
- A full recitation, without modification, of the Pledge of Allegiance, INCLUDING "under God".
- To look in the camera and say verbatim the following: "I have recited the Pledge here before you today to demonstrate my character in this tumultuous time. My loyalty is and will remain to the United States of America, and to the oath that I have taken to uphold my office. I will NOT betray my oath or my country for the sake of money or influence by any foreign power, including the People's Republic of China." If they do that, that's a point to them getting a vote. If they don't, fuck 'em. Simple as that, make it go viral and make it that no legislator can ignore it. Post it on social media, and if that get censored, print it on pieces of paper and post it like flyers all over town, in DC and otherwise.
What say you, ladies and gentlemen?
PS: On this sacred day that we usually think is being completely commercial, but has roots in the Christian faith, recalled the martyrdom of Saint Valentine who refused to give up a good fight. Sometimes, you just need to do something. Even in the face of all odds, because the greatest strength is knowing you are never alone and never will be.
FWIM was on flight to texas today, sat next to person affiliated with military, WHMO. Did not have privacy filters, poor opsec. Described a mission in Texas occurring with a "36-hours for lift" involving a man named Jeremy Ross Williamson as lead. Evidence indicates he's Navy, and another man Craig Schnappinger, a marine (introduced as lead, person corrected that lead is Ross). A team is being assembled RN based on what FHIM just read (just got off phone w/ them) over persons shoulder. person had monogrammed bag "jMn". What concerned FWIM is the person was writing persosonal texts describing yesterday as a "riot" by "pro trumpers" which makes FWIM worried they are not with the best interests. No idea where in Texas, but "Ross touches down in corpus at 1800 today"
I'm worried aboht divulging this, but FWIM was frantic on the phone and is worried harm might be planned from within the WHMO ranks. Can anyone help, provide clarity, or tell meif I should delete this and tell FWIM to forget what they saw?
While searching the web looking for further information on this, it appears that this has been "known" since at least Nov. 13th. In the link, there is an embedded tweet containing a video of Rep. Louis Gohmert mentioning "Scytl servers being seized by US Army forces" in Frankfurt, though to be clear, he too says he is uncertain of the facts. The tweet only got to a couple dozen thousand it seems, so coupled with media blackout its no wonder I haven't seen this yet.
PEDES, WE MAY NEED YOUR HELP. Gohmert mentioned this was tipped off to him by a "German tweet, written in German" that this "raid" occurred "on a Monday" or something. I have no idea where to look though, not my language. If someone can help us locate that tweet, we might be able to comb through it and see if we can learn more for ourselves? If we're lucky enough the tweet has a photo, we might be able to pull EXIF data and see if the geocoordinates match up with a known Scytl property?
Oh LORD, hear the pleas of thine servants, humble and contrite.
Who have weathered every blow thus dealt by Satan's might.
Preserve our hearts so they may never be stone, and keep our clear eyes bright.
For through thine mercy, and infinite strength, we shall not go softly into this night.
Amen.
Keep fighting Pedes.
It's working.
Just moments ago, the Supreme Court has issued two separate opinions addressing the legitimacy of an absolute immunity defense by the President in Not having to release his tax returns pursuant to a subpoena , first by a New York prosecutor conducting a criminal investigation (And who has legitimate animus towards the President), and second by the various committees of Congress.
The Supreme Court has remanded the former case for further proceedings not inconsistent with the opinion, but notably has rejected the complete immunity defense. This is likely to be resolved prior to November, unless there are difficulties with the discovery process or motions are upheld granting delay. It is notable that the opinion has removed the absolute immunity defense not only for the current President, but for all future Presidents as well. There are several people considering running for President in the coming years who may now have reason to rethink their decision if they have “skeletons in their closet” they expected to remain hidden.
The second opinion is more important. The Supreme Court has established a multi-part test which seeks to better understand if the subpoenas demanding private information or records of the President are grounded in institutional biases or political warfare. If so, such subpeonas may indeed be resisted, but this test is yet to be considered as the case is remanded as well.
In short, these two opinions are not true victories for our President, but however they are also not immediately damning. It is likely that the lower courts, at least the latter, may block the subpoenas of the President's tax returns on the grounds of animus , though the former court should decide the same due to the biases of the New York prosecutor . More to come as time goes on.
