The Confucius Institute is a Chinese cultural center that has locations on 107 campuses in the U.S. It is 100% a spot for Chinese espionage and secret government communications. There are 300,000 Chinese students in the U.S. right now, and I would suspect that a majority come from higher up, established, government friendly if not government employed families, and these students do not have the short or long term interests of the U.S. at heart. Allowing the Confucius Institute and 300,000 Chinese students access to our centers of higher learning is an idiotic self own that will have effects ripple for decades.
We are educating the next generation of Chinese government officials and giving them an inside look at our culture as they plan to disassemble our way of life. If the Chinese can get inside Harvard, Raytheon, if they can influence ESPN, the NBA, if they can convince Hollywood to censor movies to be China friendly, where do their tentacles not reach?
