Chrystler makes pure junk anyway. I can't take them seriously.
I am a software engineer with principal experience in web development (HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, PHP and ASP.NET MVC). The only thing I'm really missing is ReactJS experience. Apparently while I was employed it became the new hotness that everyone wants for some reason. I also have experience with .NET desktop development (WPF and WinForms) as well as C and C++.
I've considered all those options but I doubt I'd make enough money soon enough to keep myself afloat so that is more of a long term thing. I am taking it upon myself to familiarize myself with ReactJS while I do like a Democrat and leech off of welfare but right now it is very difficult to concentrate on it while trying to find a job and not lose my home.
So far no one can make any sense of why or how anyone made it onto the kill list. The company definitely has been progressively leaning further left over the few years with pushing diversity webinars and LGBT propaganda. They even have a big rock on their campus they paint in LGBT colors and call "Pride Rock". They also recently banned Pepe from chatrooms and office spaces for being a "hate symbol".
I thought the WARN only applied if the layoffs exceeded a certain percentage of the workforce?

Unfortunately attorneys in my area are kind of booked right now for some reason.
Wow I can't say I'm surprised. MAGA pedes have some real sleuths!

Really? How do you know this?
I'm going to consult an attorney about all this later this month and see what he says. They're not offering me a whole lot of money but as another poster said they're counting on me being desperate.
You have no idea. I feel so betrayed
I thought of that but obviously management doesn't have a conscience so there is no sense in doing that. I don't imagine the second option would accomplish much other than causing even more problems.
That CEO took over when A.J. Hyland left the company to do some bullshit philanthropic look-at-how-rich-i-am "work". Companies usually go to shit anyway once it leaves the control of its founders.
That is probably why management didn't know about it until it was happening. The executive management didn't tell anyone about until their "webinar"
I'm already out. I was one of the ones that were laid off and that is why I feel like I want to die. I have a bunch of debt I had a budget to pay off, a mortgage and a car to pay and a family to feed. I really don't know what I'm going to do.

Software developers and test engineers. The layoffs targeted exclusively Research & Development. Sales, Marketing, HR, IS and Legal were unaffected.
A part of the severance agreement is to not talk to the media or our colleagues, not working for a competitor or former colleagues and an admission that Hyland did nothing wrong and there is no basis to sue. It is really disgusting.
Definitely. Even though he is not the sitting POTUS anymore (we all know he is the legitimate POTUS) is there a way I can write him a letter? I wouldn't know where to send it now that he doesn't live in the white house anymore.
Yeah that's what makes it even more heartbreaking. I could understand if the company was suffering but there was no excuse to do this to people they called "family". I feel so stabbed in the back after giving so many years of my life to them.
Let me tell you; Hylanders are a real tight-knit group so my friends that didn't get cut tell me that emotions are very high in the company right now and many people are carrying heavy hearts with them. People have even been sobbing during meetings ever since the layoffs.
Never said I did. The company had been on a decline on how they treated their employees for a few years with them cheaping out on benefits and then back in December they told managers they were only allowed to hire out of India but didn't make a company-wide announcement about it and then pretended to act all innocent when called out on it.
Exactly. I'm not sure what they are thinking but we were hurting for more help to begin with and now with half of the development staff gone the work load has doubled and now they expect the remaining staff to train a foreign staff. To make matters worse is they fired people seemingly randomly eliminating people that have been there as long as 20 years eliminating a substantial amount of intimate knowledge of the product and its systems. This. will. not. end. well.
Is this the real President's mailing address? I'd love to send him a letter. I doubt he'd read it with all truckloads of patriot mail for his staff to sift through but it is the thought that counts.
