Tuck is our generations Limbaugh on steroids. I think he stays on TV, who knows maybe even expands the show.

I think they all have their place. I was infantry as well (0341 weapons co), carried an M1014 shotgun, M9 and an M16-A4. Having knocked a few doors down in Fallujah and also some action in the desert around Haditha Ramada areas I think it has its place. Sure belt fed there are better options. I preferred the 240G myself, but what are we trying to achieve? Send a message? Take out an intruder? Neutralize a group? Where is this happening? There are many variables. I wouldn’t discount it as a viable option for some.

I believe they now own 49%. Either way I would be surprised if there isn’t more to come out. The legal case is a coin flip, and either outcome is going to be a massive change to how things are run in the US.

Trump has alluded to a massive plan being rolled out the last two weeks of August. I’m hoping his hammering of socialist medicine is laying the ground work for it. If that isn’t his plan, then this line of attack is a massive unforced error like you said.

You know... Maybe this is the way forward. Not Mail-in Ballots but in-person voting centers run by the Federal Government. Have Passport card issued at post office, use that as the only ID allowed. Make a National Holiday. Makes sense to me. Maybe start voting that Saturday and run through Tuesday. Media Black out like France has during the Vote. No exit polls etc.

This. The common political vernacular is so detached from their actual meanings, and often conflated. I teach in Higher Ed. I had a colleague and a student (avowed Marxist) argue with me about what liberal actually means. After about two hours of them defending the individuals right, I asked if they ever even read Marx. Eyes where opened. Now they are reading Mills, and voting Trump. 2 down 39,000+ to go here at the U.

The concept was developed for other diseases, was around for a while I guess. The city of Boston was the first major institution to do it. Most of your larger universities have the bandwidth to do it so it spread pretty quick. I read about it early in the Year, now my employer, The University of Arizona, has it up and running ready for on campus classes to begin next week.

This is a common practice. The City of Boston did this (with MITs help I believe) and almost all of your larger public universities do this now.

I say more of tripped into it in May. Was worried about defaults in bonds and had a lot in equities.

Futures seems pretty wild. Been watching but have generally been a buy and hold investor outside of a merger/arbiter cash deal every blue moon.

What made you move to tax law?

I’m on Fidelity and have been mainly assorted ETFs. SLV and SGOL for metals. Got in late May so have seen a nice return. Probably time to cash out a bit. Debating what to do on the run up to the election.

(Good on the guns and Ammo, it was a way of life in AZ before it was cool).

Agree. Europe is a wildcard. I’m not sure anything is worth the chance over there.

I hope the White House jumps on this and does thier Own tribute. Either on Federal Land in NYC or in DC.

Lol. Was at my in-laws just outside Boston deep in the People’s Republic of Tax-achusetts. Same thing! BLM signs withering away, and son of bitch a few trump signs popping up. (Still haven’t seen a Biden sign in the neighborhood).

Required to wear a covering at work, definitely doing my part by switching to Neck gaiter. Herd Immunity here we come!

Ah. Well you could go a few ways then. You could play the merger and Arbitrage game. This would teach buying and selling really quick. Mergerarbitragelimited.com list the upcoming cash deals. Or get a free account on StockRover and play with the screeners to find some stock.

If your just looking for an solid pick, I still think ADP, LMT, and AMGN are undervalued. Even if we get a slowing recovery they should still do well.

$50 isn’t going to move the needle much. Depending on what brokerage you use it might be a losing prop. If your a Robinhood investor you’re just speculating. I would Suggest a fidelity account and put it into an ETF. An S&P 500 etf is probably the most efficient. When you get more cash, $500 or so, you could then start picking stocks. When you’re at that point I suggest using StockRover. It’s a great screener that will help you decide what fits your investing philosophy and style. If you don’t know what your style or philosophy is your a speculator running into emotions. You will get crushed. Every speculator does eventually. Good luck. Happy to discuss further. Glad your getting in the market. Don’t be discouraged, just takes a bit to get going.

This might be the greatest long term affect of Covid. It has forced us to reconcile the failed Public primary education.

It seems the bankruptcy is inevitable for the states, which I’m for. What if Trump Had the Feds buy some of thier assets art, artifacts etc and expand the Smithsonian museums beyond Washington.

Agreed. He is incredibly gifted at anticipating the moves of the loony left, and instituting not only mitigating plans, but often turning the the situation around politically. Win or Lose, he will be studied and copied by leaders world wide for decades.

I’ll bite. I think your premise might be debatable (released on purpose vs opportunity arose), but the outcome is probably correct. He did a lot with the hospital ships and emergency Covid centers through the army corps of engineers. Showed he was working, and roped did corner the governors. In many ways it’s a macrocosm of the recently sign executive orders. There is no logical way to pin it on trump, only general harpy reeeeeing. Second wave or not, he has em by the balls.
