Kate Brown isn't popular. We got close to winning the governor election in 2010. If Allen Alley got the nomination instead of Chris Dudley, I think we would have won it. Oregon isn't as deep blue as people think. The Dems have been winning, I'm not discounting that, but I think much of that has to do just with the cuckoldry of the Oregon Republican Party more than anything.

I don't think the "blue staters fleeing blue states but voting for blue policies" meme is true and it's just something the left says to keep us playing defense instead of offense. Looks like the data in the cases of Texas is Californians coming here are MORE conservative, and maybe leaving California for exactly that reason. "Blue states" aren't 100% hard left. There are conservatives in California still, some of which who have been leaving.
It's extreme Pareto law. You have some ultra-productive people in California like the execs at tech companies, and then you have a lot of leeches. There basically is no middle class anymore in San Francisco.

Call me crazy but I think Oregon might flip, IF and only if it's Trump who runs the messaging there and not the complete simps known as the Oregon Republican Party. Kate Brown is unpopular there. Oregon is thought of as "blue" and Dems win, but not by landslides or anything. I think Oregon is flippable, with messaging like:
-A vote for Biden is a vote for Kate Brown's failed policies
-A vote for Biden is a vote for Antifa (Portland normies getting tired of them; Antifa isn't the entire state)
Of course, the Oregon Republican Party will go off on a spiel about tax policy or Reagan or something, so we need Trump's staff to run the messaging.
