Shouldn't need to be said, but I am seeing a lot of people who seem to just not get why things happen the way they do.
I don't want to choose violence. I've been all over this forum last 2 days arguing against it.
But not because I think it's 'law and order above all'. I just think the street level violence will at this point be absolutely counter productive.
There is no one left at the top that works for us and is in position to take advantage of whatever violence MAGA does now
I believe best route for MAGA right now is to go full grass roots and focus on local elections and activisim. Take the ground where you are - your local town, local county, local state. Get into school boards, local news, local government and local culture. Than expand out from there.
That said, what happened yesterday was not AGAINST law and order.
What I saw last night was people who knew that something illegal and wrong was taking place in government, and they did not know what else to do but to walk forward. I didn't even see anyone really fighting police except to get out of holds. Most violent thing I saw MAGA people do was grab at barricades.
Most of them just walked forward. And I get that feeling.
I am here and now, I am responsible for what happens to this country, but I don't know what I can do or what I can change. So I will just move forward and hope that something changes.
Tl,DR - the people trying to break into Capitol Hill yesterday. They were the closest thing left to law and order in Washington, DC that day.
