Reminds me of the time the department of defense got a $1.6B grant to develop ejector seats for helicopters. They came up with a seat that synchronizes with the rotors and ejects the pilot between the blades, like the guns on WWI aircraft that used to shoot through the propellers, and spent $1.4B of it before they realized the pilot would pull a hundred and sixty-five Gs when ejecting.
(If a pilot pulls more than 9 Gs in a climb, enough blood is pulled out of the brain that most pilots just pass out. 165 Gs would essentially turn you into a water balloon.)

Until someone with the authority to do so mandates that ballots with broken chain of custody don’t count, this is nothing but an echo chamber talking point. By that I mean, when I used to work on Dominion machines for my local Board of Elections (I maintained, programmed elections, tested, and was first point of contact on Election Day in my county for problems), I was trained on the use of the machines and the software by a guy at Dominion, who told me that the software was written by "a couple of interns in Bosnia or something."
Part of me tends to believe that, as under normal circumstances (and all this stuff went in due to some handicap-accessible voting law George W. Bush signed around 2004), private companies have to be the lowest bidder on government contracts in order to get the contracts, and therefore have to cut costs where they can, so not hiring a team of American software developers who each want $175,000/year with great benefits packages makes sense. The software was also awful, had no regard for user experience, even compared to Microsoft's offerings, and there was the occasional non-English word left in the interface. I remember seeing the word "escucheon" a lot. I'm still not sure what it means. I think it's French, which makes even less sense.
But, if you believe Dominion has lied about everything the whole time - and I wouldn't fault you for believing that, not in the least - then this very well may be true. And maybe Gates is so rusty from not actually having programmed anything since the BASIC they used on the Apple I in, like, 1973, perhaps it is his code and that's why it's so terrible. But I doubt it. At the very least, he farmed it out.
However, Occam's Razor is still a thing, and there are way easier ways to commit the vote fraud we saw. For instance, the Dominion machines in our county did not connect to the internet. However, we could have messed with the vote totals by photocopying a ballot filled out with the candidates we wanted to win, opening up the side of a machine, and feeding the photocopied ballot repeatedly, grabbing it before it fell into the basket that the ballots fall into. This also involves breaking several laws, breaking your security seals, falsifying paperwork, and breaking your chain of custody. But it also works when your local Board of Elections is as corrupt as the ones in question. And none of it requires a conspiracy by which malicious code is developed in secret by Bill Gates and sent over the internet in the dead of night.
Don't let people like Ruby Freeman walk free because of some unfounded rumor that Bill Gates actually sat down and wrote software for the first time since Nixon was president.
My point is they didn't teach us that, or what it meant, or how to think it through.

I wish there were a way I could learn about non-political content creators who are based so I could support them. In fact I have a non-political content creator-type project (and I’m based) that I’d love to tell people about; but, alas, self-promotion is against the rules.
I’m not sure I’d do it from this account anyway, because when it comes to business, I would also like to take leftists’ money (I would actually rather take their money, frankly), but if they ever put this account and my brand name together they’d nope out immediately and take their money with them.
I’m open to suggestions on how to tell based pedes about a based person creating non-political digital content in a way that doesn’t drive my currently-significant center-left traffic away. I’m also a realist so I won’t hold my breath.

I mean, each community should have the right, I guess, to run their community as they see fit. But I do get kind of twitchy when someone makes an assumption about who I am as a whole person based on their inability to read and comprehend one or two comments on the internet and can then remove my access from that community.
For my personal tastes, GA has been a little more interesting than TD/Patriots (again, for me, this is not a judgement, same as how we probably don’t have the same favorite band) since January 20th. I’m fine either way; I either get to play in more rabbit holes and tough-love datefags, planefags, and numerologists, or I kick my hopium addiction. Either way I think I win.

To be fair, one of the mods at GA reached out overnight, and we are talking about unbanning me. I’m not entirely sure what the conditions are or how they can be met (for example, if the condition is “don’t be malicious,” and I wasn’t malicious in the first place, that’s not possible), so we’ll see.
