I'm right there with ya. The day it was announced that Kroger, Walmart, CVS, etc. will require customers to wear masks, I went to etsy and bought a Trump 2020 face mask. If they demand that I wear one in order to buy groceries, I will force them to see where I stand.

OK, based on this - I have the perfect reason to identify as an African American. White? If only!

God bless that man. Were it not for Rush Limbaugh, the left would have already taken over.

Re: the child abuse in the RC church - Yes! yes, yes, yes. Back when those situations started being public (1990's?), I actually said, out loud, "This will open my family's eyes. No question." Nope. "There are some bad priests, but The Church....etc."

Sidenote: I was also a cafeteria Catholic, and I'm glad for it. When someone challenged me (in a good way) to figure out and defend what "I" believe (as opposed to things I was taught), I was open to checking it out. The key: I began reading the Bible for the first time in my life. I started with the New Testament (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) and it was a life changing decision. I don't know if you're interested or not, but if you are, I highly recommend it.

That does it. I'm starting my own support group.

"Not all Karens are Karens."

Or maybe "Karens for Trump."

Or "Karen Lives Matter."

I'm sure my mother never realized the life she was consigning me to.

I was born into and grew up in an observant Catholic family, became a born again Christian when I was 25. My family stayed Catholic. I was thinking about your post. Based on my experience, I think Catholics are tied to the idea of being they are part of the right/correct group, even to the point of their salvation. To leave the Catholic church would jeopardize their salvation, rather than the Protestant viewpoint that we all stand before the Lord as individuals. So, having said that, I'm guessing that same frame of mind extends to just about everything else in life. It's not about making up one's own mind as much as it is following authority figures. ??

So is this the game plan? I'm wondering if all of the racial discord is deliberate so that Biden's guaranteed black VP will be presented as a unifying force, someone that the BLM faction will respond to, someone who will promise to bring peace to the streets if elected.

Prayers for you. You might want to read Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. Here's the beginning: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=matthew+5&version=NIV
