Has anyone thought about how the census being taken this year will be affected by all the mass-exoduses from big cities? When / how are districts re-drawn for population updates after the census, and has any of that scheduling been amended by delays due to COVID?
My wife is hired on to be a census taker, and while the program for neighborhood canvasing was supposed to start back in March, it was all delayed by COVID, and her training doesn't even start until July.
Makes me wonder if all this big city riot chaos will make the census show vastly decreased numbers in the cities this year, and therefore drop the national voting power of large population centers for the next ten years.
