Those challengers are there so the incumbent wins. They have no intention of winning and probably don't even want to win. They are getting some sort of reward either present or future, so won't work.
First of all, he has not been vaccinated. Second of all, he looks like dementia, mask or no mask and worst than looking like dementia is the obvious behavior of dementia. Third of all, that mask is for the cameras only, it's all optics. Finally, and worst of all is he's supposedly sitting behind the resolute desk.

If you think the governor lifting the mask requirement means you don't have to wear a mask, you might be mistaken. My state lifted the requirement over 3 weeks ago and the businesses are still requiring masks. What we need is that masks can't be required anywhere. If they really work why does anyone care what someone else does. Their mask should protect them just fine.
This bill has nothing to do with how much or how little they are "giving" to the plebes. It is a pacifier. The real point is payback for favors of many types and bail out of demo run states that are in real trouble with the usual splash of kickback. If the repubs really wanted to make this work in their favor they would propose a bill that gives a large chunk of change to the American people directly and nothing else. Then blast it far and wide so everyone knows about it and let the demos come out and shoot it down. Would expose all the bullshit about what is really going on. There are plenty of libs already pissed about that $2,000 lie. This would make it even worse and would never pass anyway. It's a win/ win. (by large chunk of change I mean several thousand, like maybe between 5 and 10, that would get a lot of attention)
