This came up the other day: sometimes Meme Magic is funnier/more effective when the artwork is deliberately crudely done, or absurd beyond sensibility. Too much shooping can make the piece too convincing and the joke gets lost. (I tend to go straight for the Uncanny Valley myself, and try to make impossible visuals look as real as possible.) But the most memorable memes are often the ones of dubious artistic "quality."
Cardi B will definitely end up with a cop's knee on her neck at some point (unless she overdoses first, or drives off the road taking a selfie etc etc.)
She is way too loudmouthed and self-obsessed to survive a DUI traffic stop, I have been expecting it to happen since I first heard of her.
LOL!!! Better yet, when it all goes sideways, those Democrat mayors tell the police to stand down. It's the opposite of "Broken Window" policing, it's Burned Looted City "policing" and it happens predictably every time the Party Of Crime gets easily-offended (again) because there is no deterrent and minimal if any consequences. At last report, San Francisco had the fastest-rising crime rate in the country the year after they decriminalized Grand Larceny (theft/property crime under $1,000 is a misdemeanor) because who could have predicted that outcome!
This is not new: From April 2015, Baltimore Mayor: ‘Gave Those Who Wished to Destroy Space to Do That’
“I made it very clear that I work with the police (LOLWUT?) and instructed them to do everything that they could to make sure that the protesters were able to exercise their right to free speech,” Rawlings-Blake said. (Does she mean the mobs with signs repeating what their community-organizer yells out through a bullhorn? They look way more dangerous than the police, nobody messes with them!) “It’s a very delicate balancing act. Because while we try to make sure that they were protected from the cars and other things that were going on, we also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well. And we worked very hard to keep that balance and to put ourselves in the best position to de-escalate.” (Keep what balance? Hoping nothing important gets REKT in a spontaneous no-go zone with suspended traffic rules AND rampant looting/arson with mobs of babble-chanting zombies blocking the streets on foot? What could go wrong? Also: "balance," LOLWTF is she even talking about?)
> Edit: I couldn't take it, I had to parse her syntax some more: They want to ensure the safety of the babble-chanting mobs blocking the roads and freeways (and attacking innocents in their cars) by ignoring the miscreants looting the stores and setting the city on fire, and hope they get all get bored and go home before someone gets hurt. If I understand her meaning: her priorities lie between mobs of protestors and encouraging the looters/fire-bugs, while hoping the people who were going to kill each other anyway don't do it that week while the police are on leave. She did not address the need to beef up fire dept. services to aid businesses and residents victimized by widespread arson, nor any other common sense help for the average citizen appalled that their mayor is applauding a crime wave as downtown burns- less than an hour's drive from Washington DC. CLOWN WORLD IS NO JOKE
No one should be shot & killed for climbing through a window.
I've examined various raw videos from that day (no commentary, live sound) and it appears she was hesitant in the window-frame, not going right through. Whether she even knew the guy with the gun was right there, I can't tell: she seems to be more focused on the broken glass and the debris piled up on the other side. It does not look like she would have had a clear hop/step down, and from every angle I've seen thus far she was in a state of "hmmm, how do I get down from here?" (because some guys boosted her up to that window, and the jump down would have been more challenging.)
It appears quite obvious to me: there is furniture or something pushed against the doorway from the inside, with a big pile on Ashli's side. We can't see that improvised barricade except the bit visible through the windows, but we can assume she was not looking through at an easy way in. Any reasonable person (breaking into the "Speakers Lobby" in true protest, aside) would not just carelessly jump into a pile of furniture/debris deliberately put there by government security people to impede your progress without taking a moment to assess their footing, even if they did have military training.
tl;dr Ashli Babbitt was very carefully climbing through that window, not storming right through it. She may have been taking a breath to say "nuh uh, I'm not jumping into all that glass and nails!" but we will never know.
oof, she is incredibly pretty <3 <3 <3
Well... we are in much worse shape now as a nation, and our government is now openly corrupt to the point of blatantly stealing elections. I get it that it's not his responsibility now, but still... he did imply that he would leave our situation in better shape than he found it, and I can't honestly say I am "better off now than I was 5 years ago," nor anyone else I know. So there's that.
"Hate Facts." That's another silly one, pointing out official DOJ crime statistics or stats on illegitimacy/illiteracy/crime in general is now labeled as "Hate Facts."
> The Tolerant Left can't argue against statistics beyond cherry-picking, therefore it's "racist" to point out statistics that are unflattering to their Protected Classes.
Also:
Terrorism (noun) The use of violence and intimidation to accomplish a desired political goal or outcome.
Some of these SJW/Leftist Limousine Liberals don't own their own property, they live in an apartment or rental house. They are well-off enough to afford "renter's insurance," so any of their belongings can be replaced apart from rare/sentimental items. They are a shallow-minded group, who despite rejecting "materialism" place obsessive value on meaningless things like their cellphones and their "digital presence," along with other trinkets of dubious value that are only of use as conversation-pieces or "status symbols."
Someone who has always lived in an apartment/rental house can't fully appreciate the work that goes into the repairs/maintainence of an older house, or the work of building a house from the ground-up. They may have never met anyone who has that experience, as these people do not normally willingly associate with commoners. They certainly can't appreciate how deeply a homeowner feels about protecting a home they have lived in for decades and done much of the repair work themselves, possibly even built that house themselves. They also don't appreciate the foresight of keeping steady employment and having a decades-long commitment to keeping the mortgage paid.
This is why the "reee-sistance" will flounder in the rural areas and Flyover States, no matter how much GPS their Worst 0bamaphone has. Maybe in the DNC Stronghold cities the mayors can order the police to "stand down" and the citizens to "stand aside and give them room to destroy." But in the rural areas, that won't fly. The idea of a mob of joggers showing up at a rural good ol' boy's house, demanding he "vacate the premises" because by "da powa" invested in them by BLM, they declare his property "reparations" is utterly laughable. BLM will not be taking over the rural areas of Flyover States, because few of them will survive the initial confrontations.
Is this the Official Presidential Portrait?
>That occurred to me recently, remembering the fiasco of Jugears hiding in the bushes with spooge on his forehead (done by a little-known gay/trans/WTF "artiste" who normally does "POC empowerment" propanganda featuring stuff like Strong Vibrant Black Wymyn waving the heads of decapitated "wipipo" around.)
I assume Worst 0bama (or his handlers) chose that terrible "artiste" themselves so I was curious if GEOTUS would be allowed to pick his own (John McNaughton would be an obvious choice, and would rise to the occasion with his best work possible.)
I'm also curious how hard the DNC/MSM alliance will fight against him having an Official Portrait displayed with his fellow Presidents, which will be no surprise (either that, or demanding to commission their own "artiste" to produce a piece of ghoulish ridicule like the painting Epstein owned of Bill Clinton wearing Monica Lewinsky's Blue Dress.) They do not want a proper "official" portrait hanging next to Worst 0bama's comical offense against art, not only because it would make the "work" stand out even more -in a bad way- but they intend for all future "official presidential portraits" to take a similarly whimsical approach (Kumala twerking on a burning Constitution in a rain of falling glass-ceiling, Biden depicted as Batman, AOC as Joan of Arc, etc etc)
Oh yes, I get that. I'm not a fan of my Flyover State locale either, but I live here because my wife refuses to move (we bought the house she lived in as a child.) Most of my family is in easy driving distance, the only reason I do any serious travel is for work (I'm officially retired but still work on occasion.) I get a lot of calls to work in DNC Stronghold cities, but I turn those down- I'm getting offers for jobs other guys are smart enough to avoid, as well as paranoia/WuFlu-related cancellations/absences. There is no way I would try to work a large-venue show in a city plagued by miscreants ready to kick off flash-mobs of rioting.
I have become accustomed to normalcy, which as far as culture-shock that isn't my problem, I always knew what I would run into in LA (same stuff as any DNC Stronghold, just more of it and way more dangerous.) The thing is- I'm not used to having to worry that shooting is going to break out any minute, or that someone is going to set me (or the building I'm in) on fire. I'm not used to being threatened by a homeless guy with a knife outside a hotel lobby. I am used to going to a grocery store and having the cashier speak English, but that's something I can live with as opposed to the shooting and arson and general disrespect for Law & Order.
And they TURNED THE FRICKIN FROGS GAY!!!
THEY TURNED BRUCE GENDER GAY! HE WON THE DECATHLON AND NOW THEY MAKE HIM WEAR A DRESS AS A PLEA BARGAIN FOR CAUSING A FATAL TRAFFIC ACCIDENT ON DRUGS! BRUCE GENDER WILL BE ON THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY WHEATIES BOX TWERKING IN LINGERIE BECAUSE HE WASN'T MAN ENOUGH TO ACCEPT HIS DUI !!!
THESE PEOPLE ARE PURE EVIL
LOL!!!
> Fully automatic illegal aliens
The last time I got my roof done, they showed up with 2 dozen non-English-speakers (I always specifically request English-speaking citizens anytime I have work done, that rarely works out.)
WEW LAD, 2 dozen Mexican/South American migrants all thrashing my roof with hammers at the same time. Now that's entertainment! (Fortunately I have -33db attenuation shooter-earmuffs but still!)
> Oh noes, it's a MikeRoweAggression!
Mr. Rowe appears to be sincere. He has officially requested meetings with the last 3 presidents to discuss his plans for boosting trade/vocational school enrollment, certainly a winning idea that would turn out high school graduates with solid job skills and some degree of experience from the hands-on schoolwork (IE doing carpentry/bricklaying/mechanic work etc for grades as well as for pay- students can work a trade-related job which counts as class time.)
> Edit: In my experience in the 1980s, teachers were required to meet a quota of 50% of students to already be in a permanent job by the time they graduate trade-school (8-12th grades.) I don't know about today's policies, but at that time the local trade-schools were quite serious about turning out working tradesmen.
Also, there's that time Mr. Rowe pointed out that "you never see flag-burnings and "protests" at a trade-school." Everything I've ever heard from him seems sensible and Patriotic, I think he's a Good Guy.
All of my Leftist "friends" are divorced and/or have been married multiple times (I can't think of any who are currently married.)
The males of the group of long-time SJW Prototypes I grew up with have not fared well. Most of those Beta-orbiters have passed away over the last 10 years due to alcohol/drug/obesity issues. The females are still thriving (or so they claim) although not having their audience around for boasting about their random jogger-hookups surely must take some of the fun out.
Most of my Conservative friends are still married from their teens/20s and have grandchildren. I'm seeing an odd trend though: their offspring are getting pregnant a lot, but rarely getting married. Despite the parents' best efforts, their offspring have grown up indoctrinated/peer-pressured by the SJW/LGBTQRSWTF/black-ization of MSM/Hollywood-based "culture" and as Yuri Bezmenov warned in the 1980s, are more in tune with those "values" than the morality of their forebears. They may have some degree of understanding that their actions and lifestyle reflect on their family, but do not understand why having a child out-of-wedlock would be frowned upon (because that is "normalized" in today's society, by celebrities and the poverty-stricken alike.) I don't mean the moral implications of tarnishing ones' family's image, I mean making the long-term commitment to be responsible for that child's rearing and helping them further the reputation and accomplishment of their ancestors (and why that should matter.)
On the bright side, I know some younger unmarried folk who are very motivated in taking care of their children because of their own childhood experience with neglectful parents. That is really encouraging to see, and those kids are turning out well: proper manners, interesting in learning, good behavior in general. It's certainly better than the opposite, because I have seen the havoc non-disciplined kids wreak when they get big enough to cause serious damage.
> But that's what happens when a society abandons the principles of Christianity and Western Civilization.
I appreciate the travel tips but I'm done with California (and air travel.) I have friends/family out there but that's their problem.
Well... it's not like you're going to forget her, she definitely makes an impression!
I never got to meet her, unfortunately (I have met several porn starlets and some of them actually remember my name/previous conversations when I see them again.) Ginger Lynn is one of the nicest of the bunch, I talked with her for an hour at Erotica LA or some similar convention. Vicky Vette is not one of the Golden Age of Porn girls, she's from the Age Of Internet and has done well for herself by owning her own company and helping her partners avoid the pitfalls of working for the bigger producers. She is also a nice friendly person, we've had several conversations (always about normal life stuff, apart from complimenting her work we never discussed "the business.")
> inb4 LOL porn people, those porn industry people have been much more friendly to me than any of the movie/music industry people I've dealt with.
Very strange. The homeless/panhandler situation was just starting to ramp up back then, there was already a homeless camp just a block or so from the Staples Center. I was surprised to see that density of homeless people so close to the Staples Center: that is a very high-budget venue for "A-List" concerts and the Lakers games, with celebrities paying massive money for season tickets and courtside seats.
As I recall, the intersection of Sunset Blvd. at Fairfax Ave. is not very far from large movie-star mansions- and I always saw homeless folk and panhandlers in that area, within easy walking distance of some of the highest-priced upscale real estate in the US. (And that's where a whacko got himself shot by cops in broad daylight this weekend.) I guess what I'm getting at: not only had I never seen such income-disparity, but to see homeless people and beggars living in the street with the Chateau Marmont in the background and those mansions a stone's throw away (as it were) was surreal to me, considering my Flyover State upbringing.
It's out of control now, with people living in small camping tents on the sidewalks all over the place. (Video from December 2020, 12mins) Venice Beach is a tourist district and the setting for many movies over the years, now it has a tent city. (Feb 2021, 16mins) I saw an hour & a half police car-chase video recently, you can see quite a few tents lining the road.
I visited Palmdale, which was very interesting. That area seemed much more like Flyover America as far as nice polite people in a more normal environment. (If the Gatlinburg Tn./Smoky Mountain tourist area were a desert instead, that would be the vibe.) I didn't spend a lot of time there, but it did seem to be the place the Patriots would gravitate toward. If I were to choose a place to live near LA, that was the most hospitable place I saw in my time there.
You're very welcome, glad you liked it! <3 <3 <3
My post history is probably rife with that sort of LOLWUT. (I can't predict myself what I might say in the process of ranting about the normalization of the unthinkable.)
> I don't get out much, obviously : )
I assumed it would work that way, when running the plate they would cross-reference it with other agencies' info on the driver. (Like wouldn't NCIC or something similar report warrants/offenses from all 50 states?)
If State Police were that close, I can see that they might have radio-silence or whatever in trying to be covert due to the possibility of the suspects having a scanner/police radio. But still... these guys are professionals, if they were being that "cautious" one would think they would be looking out for unsuspecting officers in the area, and have the dispatcher warn them away with a coded message (or creative distraction/another "call") should they call in the plate of the car in question.
> Disclaimer: I am not a policeman (obviously.) I do know a few policemen who give me occasional advice/keep me up on recent developments.
In this case, literally.
That's the first description I've heard, thanks! (I read a few articles with conflicting info which is why I didn't post/quote much from them.)
An LAPD officer does a quick rundown on the Twitter link below the picture, with little detail. Unless the video cuts off before she's finished, I have not heard anyone say if the man was armed or not (he did apparently provoke the officers into shooting.)
This happened yesterday afternoon in downtown LA but I've just seen the (conflicting) reports. The first I saw said the driver suddenly backed up and crashed into an LAPD car who was responding to an unspecified call. (Other reports say police ran into him, from a video I saw it appeared maybe another LAPD car may have gotten in front of the car to box it in.)
That's not the weird part, crashed police cars and a shot-dead perp in a tent in the middle of Sunset Blvd. is just Hollywood being Hollywood. That's what I call a typical Saturday afternoon, in my experience.
But look at that car! I saw cars like this during my LA adventure, with weird messages/slogans/rantings all over the car, done in little individual letter-stickers. It was usually some sort of religious fanaticism, which this display at first glance appears to touch on. But this is some whacked-out stuff, that's not over-enthusiastic street-preacher talk: those sayings are deranged trolling.
Also note: all the capital Ts seem to be upside-down (note the window, "unity for team humanity" with all the flipped Ts.) Also, "I'm Truman" etc. (The guy thinks he's in the "Truman Show" movie?)
There is also "333" and "666" all over, as well as a variety of slogans/buzzwords that don't exactly fit together, and lots and lots of good old-fashioned blasphemy.
I find it very weird that I was just now discussing my good fortune at escaping LA years ago when things were already too crazy for me, now here's this.
Here's a picture of the crazy car, in case it gets memory-holed.
Definitely Gomorrah. I've been there. It's not a place for good people to be.
I went to LA for work purposes for many years. I grew up in a small Flyover State town among a group of hyper-promiscuous highly-subversive SJW prototypes in the 1970s, who are now aging hamplanets still trying to increase their N-count (because the only thing that has ever been attractive about them is their sexual availability.) Of course these wymyn preferred random joggers, so there was always some unpredictable violence or life-drama attention-seeking.
None of that prepared me for the violence, degeneracy, manipulative behavior, and the other joys of surviving LA. I always wondered if that day would be the day God hit the "Kill It With Fire" button, and felt I probably deserved it for being a passive witness to Ground Zero for Unjustified Narcissism. It certainly felt like one day would be good as another, I never felt any sense of safety in that place. The locals had no sense of situational awareness at all, people and buildings were getting set on fire right there and they were blase' about it (unless screeching at me for being "racist" for pointing out that is Not Normal.)
tl;dr Lot and his wife got out of Sodom & Gomorrah before it was too late. (Almost: his wife turned back and got rekt.) It's been over 10 years now and I won't even look at a picture of myself taken there for fear I will turn to salt. "Looking back" is not something I will ever feel safe doing.
I remember the days of 3 TV stations (and remotes hadn't been invented yet.)
Times were much different then, TV was pretty much "Rated G" and mainstream movies weren't all that violent/risque compared to now. Today's "PG" movies would have been a hard "R" or "unrated" back then. When I was a kid, there was no "hell" or "damn" on TV shows. There were times when the mothers/women of the family "knew best" but presented in a light-hearted way. (I never saw the sort of mean-spirited misandry/anti-father-figure messaging so commonplace in today's TV/movies, especially commercials.)
Anyone who herps that the "Slippery Slope" is a "fallacy" is being willfully contrarian: I can easily point out the markers of acceleration that TV/movies used as precedents to enable new levels of subversion and degeneracy to be presented as "entertainment." I'm not sure what the music industry will do to top Cardi B's latest shot across the bow of our culture, but they will and it will be the most tawdry/lucrative thing ever seen on TV. Now that music videos/lyrics/movies are that explicit, there really isn't that much envelope to push in terms of trampling former standards of public obscenity.
