Nice rant. I read it all the way through. I agree with the idea of guarding yourself and focusing on what elevates you. The thing is, we’ll still have posts we don’t want to see. They’ll still get upvoted to the top sometimes. Here’s the secret: don’t take the bait. Once you can see the direction of a post or comment thread going south, stop reading. Your life is ALL YOU. Remember the salmon. They swim upstream to perpetuate their species. But guess what. It’s that resistance that they’re using to propel themselves to where they want to go. How do you know what you want if you haven’t seen what you don’t want?
Just like many Americans, I too have contradictory thoughts regarding this virus, the models, and the government controls. The fact is in another couple weeks or three, we may see body counts that justify this government protection. Other countries have seen it. And if not, I’m pretty sure Americans will in the future require more proof from the scientists before they allow government to lock down like this.

If you normally go to church and they’re not having services now due to China virus, please consider sending money. They still have bills too and pastors and staff rely on the collections for their income. And many of them are working very hard right now, taking calls from upset people.
These orders are strictly for preventing hoarding. So relax. Did you catch the part about “outside hospital setting?” And we know people hoard, just look at how long the tp shelves were bare

It was probably Sec Pompeo that said it first. The problem is that federal employees are a permanent fixture and can’t be fired when they need fired. Huge problem that needs fixed.
