I admit I don't know enough about what Putin is actually doing in Russia. But I DO know that one of the first things he did when he took power was to put a bunch of oligarchs in prison. So he's +1 right off the bat. And smashing LBGT in Russia was a pretty boss move too.
One of the longer term tragic effects of this insane cultural and legal shift is that these kids are either going to come out AGAINST these practices in 10 years when they're still miserable and stuck with a mutilated body, or kill themselves.

In my case, my industry has been closed down for a year, and counting. Getting cancellations for July, August, and soon September is going to fall. It will be a minimum of two years before I can hope to be out of this hell.
