He told Mueller to wrap up the report apparently. I think it really ended with Mueller in Congress making himself look like an idiot.

So Sessions and Barr were both hostages during Mueller's reign. Although Sessions was responsible for both Rosenstein and Wray directly, and Mueller indirectly.

I can see both sides of Congress make uo their rules as they go.

And it's all right to let people have their little superstitions and fetishes: it isn't all right to force them on other people.

I ask myself this all the time. I can't remember such prolonged, widespread, spluttering hatred with no basis for any person or thing. It must in some way be fomented to be staying around.

Came here to say this but you did it better. I love Dorothy Sayers but not for science.

I can sympathize because the river, dwindled as it is there, is the only bit of goodness in that corner of AZ. It is also Raul Grijalva's district and if there is any crime he's protecting it. Double problem.

They already have a silt problem which leads strangely to increased erosion. It's such a big reservoir the weight and pressure is going to find some little crack and it will be like Oroville Dam (which is also going to fail again).

Everyone keep fanning the story but always add "she worked for Franklin TEMPLETON, you know, " so they need to find out who FT are, and then that name will be stuck like a burr to a story that everyone seems to have feelings about. Great help later when tying into all things Ukraine. It's a gift, not a squirrel.

Oxytocin is a helluva drug. And don't think there aren't people out there who want to use it to modify you more.

That was my first thought, woman alone with some lab mix pup who would be no help protecting her. The dog thinks it's a game, trying to lick her face. The guy carries dog treats and even says it is to seduce dogs, not distract attacking ones. As if a real guard dog would notice a cookie in attack mode.

After reading both sides of the story, it looks like both humans were jerks, both afraid in the park, both using an innocent dog to assert themselves--what a hellish place NYC is that people are fighting like this for private space. Hope the dog gets a better master, poor thing is all happy to be out of a shelter and then gets dragged by its stylish collar because of bs.

Now explain the dog choking.

Mmm, I did read the article. He was in favor of legal immigration and that was in April before we suddenly got a few million unemployed. On the other hand, Sessions missed so many boats he could be an enabler, if not a coup plotter. I know he was very devoted to the DOJ he once worked for, long before Zero and Hillary corrupted it. The best construction I can put on his behavior is that his heart belongs to institutions. Turberville seems like he'd be new, junior, probably more malleable, less likely to cause damage. Because now that Trump has hit Sessions, I think Sessions could be a little bitter and he does have the allies and rules knowledge to be a stinker. And maybe he's more of a stinker than we know. I trust Trump's instincts since he knows both.

The dam has been a very mixed blessing. The reservoir goes over two fault lines which has led to landslides and earthquakes, that seems pretty ominous to me. It may eventually have a disaster on its own.

I think Trump has made his preference clear. I don't know why. I don't think he would be savaging Sessions just because he could, like Zero would. But maybe it's reverse psychology. He wanted Strange and everyone said gdamn RINO as they are now about Tuberville. He said Roy Moore couldn't win and he was right. Doug Jones said he would be all the things he wasn't. Alabamans made every bad choice, so far.

“There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.”  ― Booker T. Washington

Pooh. I think they know they are between a rock and a hard place. UK is out, might align with us, eastern Europe is uppity, Italy is wavering. They think China will boist their economy but FTA: "Borrell said “we only have a chance if we deal with China with collective discipline,” noting that an upcoming EU-China summit this fall could be an opportunity to do so." They didn't have collective discipline during a pandemic and China will eat them up.
