He already suspected and was doing things. How would it have helped to create the hysteria sooner? His experts weren't helping and I don't expect the President to be a virologist or a statistician enough to see through them immediately.

? I'm saying I see news/reports/rumors/hopes and fears daily, such as "virus mutates," followed with contradictory news/hopes/etc. and much of the comment response in both cases shows that either the original message was misunderstood or rejected for whatever reason. A vaccine is generally only good against a specific part of a specific organism and if it mutates, changes its DNA, the vaccine is probably not going to go through the planned chemical sequence that made it effective.

Because clinicians are just as confused by rumor and hoopla as everyone else, throwing their best guesses at it, and there hasn't been a systematic analysis. Quinine used to be OTC for leg cramps. Probably ethnic herb stores have the raw chinchona bark. Meanwhile, elderberries and a number of other foods containing quercetin may help allergies but in spite of starting with "q" are not the same.

Now that you mention it... it is odd.

You left off a really unique one, loss of sense of smell. Leads to accepting rotten ideas.

I have to say, there is a staggering amount of ignorance mixed with panic, hope, and of course Fake News, about diseases and treatments (including vaccines) out there making this whole pandemic worse.

Viruses mutate constantly. Probably engineered ones mutate more as they run into natural barriers they weren't evolved with. This was always the shaky part of any scheme to get rich/gain control through vaccines except as an ongoing fear campaign.

Need it now before he tanks the Senate.

The best, I think.

I like the contributing to delinquency charge. That means hurting someone defenseless. Their license board might forgive trespassing and vandalizing, but not harming children. I would think: someone ought to call them and ask.

Kicked upstairs, we used to say of someone promoted to a job where he had nothing to do.

Well... there will have been a huge unexpected drop in carbon emissions and contrails for about 4 months worldwide this year, beyond the goals of previous dreams. I should think climate fans on both sides of the anthropogenic argument would be thrilled to have this data to compare against weather. Ought to be good for years of new argument.

Yes, somewhere in the fallout of this there needs to be a plan to nip the tyrants in future emergencies.

  1. A credible accuser has appeared and filed charges, making an eviction possible without actually killing Joe or admitting that the DNC had been holding up a disposable puppet all along.
  2. Zero endorsing will help Michelle forward.

Sadly I think a lot of people are still muddled on transmission and protection.

There's been a shortage of streetcorner men lately around here. Weather is perfect for camping out too. It's odd.

Just about any drug could cause sudden death. So what. If aspirin was invented last week the FDA would be restricting it now.

This whole thing has many ramifications. It was going to be Impeachment v. 2.0, there may not have been anything in the financials but it would be endless fodder for Muh emoluments, muh kickback schemes, etc. The bigger issue is whether the Legislative oversight can extend to this sort of intrusion into the executive.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi said pretty much the same thing back when everyone was going crazy over transcendental meditation. Both these wise men know that the faddists are looking for a quick easy fix instead of accepting that religion requires attention and discipline.
