Yes, and now they seem to be having a second wave even though they are downplaying it. And this is expected. Unless you quarantine everyone for a ridiculously long time, like months, as soon as people start moving around again, some people will catch it.

Nipping hostile action by China and Iran in the bud. I think China does have a bioweapon program, that this current virus may not have been the Final Solution, that when it escaped Trump didn't know that but had to prepare as if it were, as a consequence now China is rapidly getting on everyone's shitlist and the whole world is lurching toward coordination which will be essential if a worse bug comes out.

I believe that plenty of people conspire against Trump, and that they are smart enough not to out themselves, but instead fan the flames of uncertainty by capitalizing on known techniques of rumor starting They don't even have to have paid shills with talking points, all they have to do is make use of social media and the echo chamber that is the internet to introduce a few ideas in passing. Guaranteed someone will run with it.

People aren't going to like this. Large majority of physicians anticipate second outbreak and feel long restrictions will be necessary, in a time frame similar to what Fauci has said. Read on beyond the chloroquine stuff, this is why it isn't a magic bullet unless it is preventative and everyone is taking it. Surprising that the #1 treatment is analgesics--NSAIDs for fever? This ongoing study should help pool info and improve treatment.

It's Ivermectin and in so many pet remedies this story could lead to more fish tank cleaner episodes. I have eome on my table here, Heartgard, contains Ivermectin and Pyrantel, whatever that is.

It may have been a passing joke, I certainly hope so. Sorry I didn't save it, too much speculation. It said dogs couldn't get it but cats could.

And this is typical. The only ways to avoid it would be for all infected persons to get well or die so they no longer spread, or stay locked down and out of contact until no new cases have been reported for the longest possible incubation period, so one could be sure the infectious agent had run out of opportunity to reproduce and died on every surface that could have been contaminated. Apparently cats can carry it and if so, that means a big hidden pool of infection ready to bust out too.

Thank you for a beautiful picture to think about amidst all the confusion and conspiracy. This has been a real Lent of giving things up.

It should have been prepared for in a general way long ago, nothing new about increased health risks in crowded conditions.

Gee, those media clips sound like things I've seen here. Could it be (Ancient Aliens hushed voice) that posters here are quoting the MSM? What if there are shills out there saying pish tush, the flu is worse?

Or maybe, we should be more indignant about these high flu deaths year after year. I don't get why 50,000 extra deaths a year should be so acceptible. In yesterday's presser, POTUS did mention that hand washing and clean habits might help in the regular flu season.

Nice. I've pretty much started skipping every post with "Fauci" in the title. I can watch him in the briefings if I want his opinion. Bill Gates too. I've known for a long time he's the architect of the Borg, even before Common Core was in the works.

Healthcare for all is a social good. Sick people are a load on others. That is not the same as government-run or single payer healthcare, it means somehow everyone has healthcare available.

This is huge, really. Atkinson was protected by the DNI and before being IG he was legal counsel involved in bad FISA applications. Thus the screaming when Grenell got in. Horowitz's latest report backfires on Atkinson too, now he's out and the IC has lost another black knight.

He always does. Frequent delayed petard explosions because he didn't do what some conservatives wanted and roll back potentially oppressive EOs, like the ones Zero made giving himself absolute power in an emergency.

So get them from China, Iran, Turkey, all the people you've been letting blackmail you.

Thank you, it's too true. Every day, a flood of OMG HOLY SHIT GET OUT THE KNIVES and the poster really, really wants us to get mad about whatever burr is under his saddle. And there is no discussion on such posts, they are places for other angry people to post snark. It used to be McCain--Posting Every Day Until McCain is Removed Because I Know He Can't Be But It's Unchallenged Karma. Then the same old Did you hear about the Forrestal--his first wife--tumor jokes, day after day. Now it's Fauci, same format. Makes you wonder why people need this rage. Maybe also explains why liberal forums are so cringy--same need for hate.

Thank you. My Walmart has been wonderful about supply and pickup. Grocery delivery crashed. People applying for jobs there too.

He and Birx both should have explained "models" a little better before giving their numbers. That is, they were bootstrapping their predictions in the first place based on what we now know were several lies and false assumptions. Of course they soon saw this was wildly wrong as more data came, and had to modify their assumptions so the observed data fit. Surely they have a program that they can feed things like population density--contact frequency--incubation period--infection rate and more to do this quickly.

Early in January people were mostly still going on what China said. To this day there have been innumerable daily posts here about how the flu is so much worse, we shouldn't listen to Fauci/Birx/Trump, blah blah. And I think there are more posts of that type on this site than the few others, and that is beginning to make me feel that there is a distinct disruptive faction out there targeting us. I know I'm going to get a lot of "my opinion is totally honest and don't insult my discretion" and "you're a shill if you don't denounce Fauci." Just what a shill would say, so it goes nowhere but keeps up the indignation. As to Fauci now, he seems over cautious to me, but what else should he do, say hakuna matata because people are tired of being home, if it means starting a second wave, or a third wave? Because that can definitely happen. Maybe there is more going on than we know about and prolonging the lockdown is part of it.
