Since we are only to be ruled with our consent, Secession should always be an option for States. Though the Federal Occupational Force has already reduced all States to merely prisoners of war after the States tried that before.
Sadly, we have been the best. I can’t think of any nation I’d rather want to be in. If you have a decent amount of money saved, you’d be best to choose somewhere where costs are low. India is very cheap and civilized. It wouldn’t be best because of its government, but rather because you would be relatively ‘rich’ with your dollars. If you don’t have money, I’d say hunker down somewhere in rural America until the communist fad wears off.
Precisely why WalMart became the largest retailer in the world. People like to buy a bunch of cheap consumer products as it makes them feel wealthier. If we could only buy American made products we would have a lot less ‘stuff’. Fuck China, but it makes sense to buy products from places with cheap labor. It’s part of why Americans are the world’s largest consumers.
I wouldn’t call a group that wanted to raise taxes on business (or people) ‘patriots’. Business taxes are a mirage anyway. The ‘tax’ is just a cost that gets transferred to the consumer through higher prices. Stickin’ it to the ‘corporations’ is just stabbing yourself in the face. An insidious indirect tax on everyone.
I think you are referencing ‘faithless electors’. This means an elector who votes for the opposition party instead of the party they pledged to vote for. In reality, these faithless electors are extremely rare and very few in number. It would be like an actual Biden voter choosing to vote instead for Trump.
Reality is that the market, the people, ultimately create these giants by doing business with them. If the vast majority of people chose not to do business with them they would go under. Perhaps a bigger factor is that government taxation and regulation (often lobbied for by big business themselves) prevents most of the potential competitors that would exist in a pure capitalist system, free market, from coming into existence.
47% of Americans pay zero net federal income taxes. And we have too many failing socialist programs. Other nations that have socialist goodies tax the lower incomes much more than we do. And many of those nations have national sales or VAT taxes as well. We seem to have a lot of socialists who want the gibs mes but don’t want to pay for it. We will always watch our debt soar ever higher with every ‘budget’ that passes. Politicians know that they can always ‘buy’ votes by enslaving the next generation even more than the last to perpetual debt and usury of central bankers. We could eliminate our debt by severely devaluing the currency, but we would still need to tax more people at a higher rate and abolish ‘safety net’ programs.
Commodity backed currency should be used. However, we cannot forget that international gold hoarders crashed our markets and currency whenever they flooded the market. They then used these artificial crashes until our government caved to the central bankers. With the knowledge of this history, a currency should be backed with a broad ‘bundle’ of commodities (ex. gold, silver, oil, wheat, etc) so that no one commodity manipulation can allow our currency to be manipulated by international power players.
To make third parties relevant in any manner we would need serious election reforms first. Run offs of top two candidates at a minimum. Then we will still look like the silly european politics where all the minority parties run around trading favors and making backroom deals to form a coalition large enough to actually govern.
To guarantee that no democrats will ever be elected again they should start a new socialist party. Which also will never win because they will never get all democrats to switch and no republicans will join the new socialist party either. Republicans will never lose again.
Capitalism isn’t a ‘system’. It is merely the natural result of free people making voluntary exchanges. When someone says they want to replace capitalism, what they are really saying is they want to replace human freedom with human slavery and subjugation. Fuck commies, this is the reason that they should all be exterminated.
If humans were actually free, they would have the freedom to take any action which is not an act of aggression upon another. In other words, the sum of ‘natural rights’ is nearly infinite with the only restriction being that one has no right to initiate force upon another. Thus government created by people also has no right to initiate aggression upon the individual. So from a moral aspect, the ONLY just role of government is retaliation against aggression. A ‘perfect’ government obeying the non-aggression principle would be restricted to only retaliation against aggressors. In effect, the only just form of government exists only to protect the natural rights of the individual from aggressors.
I have been hearing this ‘new party’ nonsense for a while now. These people have no grasp of political reality. How could we insure that democrats never won another election? Let them form a ‘new’ more ‘progressive’ party to run against the democrats in name only or ‘dinos’. 🤣 Then republicans would never lose again. The ‘new’ republican party would do the same thing to ‘conservatives’. Split the vote into two insignificant parties that have zero chance of winning...ever. These dreamers must not pay attention to foreign politics when there are many parties. Guaranteed, a ‘new’ conservative party will never win more than a local sheriff election. Hell, most of America has no runoff elections or even minimum winning percentage. I firmly believe those that push this perpetually losing ‘third party’ for conservatives are democrat plants and trolls.
