I’m sorry; someone coming into the country illegally isn’t innocent. You don’t even need a trial. They’re standing in America, and they’re not citizens. That has nothing to do with picking innocent people up off the street, or late at night in their homes.

I am absolutely emotional about it. I am sick to death of this system destroying innocent lives. Worse are the ones who plead guilty even though they are innocent; this is where I work. I very much do. I also know that when a police officer arrests you; you aren’t charged with -anything-. You are not charged until a DA looks at the evidence.
In my area, for Felonies, that means a grand jury. Which only meets on Monday’s. So you will sit in jail, locked down 23 hours per day, up to 7 days before the DA even decides to -charge you-.
