It doesn't matter which direction it goes. Glitches are glitches, and the very fact these things happen tells me all of this data is very fragile and suspicious. More information needs to be obtained -- I don't care whether it favors Biden or Trump anymore, I just want to know what the hell is going on here.
NATE SILVER SHOULD BE PUT ON SUICIDE WATCH!
Don't worry. They'll miraculously find just enough ballots in some closet to give Biden the victory.
I never said that the polls are reliable are a good indication. I am specifically referring to MN and how this year, the polls are closer than in 2016. Trump only lost MN by I believe about 1.5 points in 2016, so if the polls are just as wrong this year as they were in 2016, Trump should actually win MN.
Just look at Real Clear Politics.
Trump is doing better in MN this year in the polls than he was in 2016. If the difference between the results and the polls are the same this year as in 2016, Trump wins MN.
What kind of "oppressive" society literally gives black people jobs purely for being black and votes people into office purely for the color of their skin?
When in all of history have the "oppressors" been blatantly censored by the "oppressed"?
When in all of history have the "oppressors" chanted "all lives matter" while the "oppressed" attacked the term for "putting less focus on 'their' issues".
We all know what is going on here. Leftists want to convince a whole group of people that they are secretly being oppressed by a nebulous "systemic racism" and bribe them for their vote. Purely disgusting -- this shit is why I'm voting for Trump.
This isn't even a thousand words. We only need one.
Yup. Pretty interesting that nobody ever talks about the impeachment anymore...
Actually, this is wrong.
If you go down 31.4%, then up 33.1%, you're still down because the initial 31.4% was a percentage of a bigger number.
If these votes were for Donald Trump, this video would be wall-to-wall on CNN with non-stop coverage until election day. The Lincoln Project would probably make another stupid ad claiming that Donald Trump loves voter fraud. Trump will be asked 24/7 if he condemns voter fraud, he'll say he does, and the media say he doesn't. Nancy Pelosi would be writing up articles of impeachment immediately.
What about Pete Flores? She mentioned him being in her pocket.
Does Pete Flores (R) want Biden to win? I don't think so.
Every single one of these ballot harvesters are complete snakes who play the politicians against each other and profit at every turn.
Why does nobody care about this? Why is this not front-page news on CNN or even Fox News? This isn't even partisan, some of the people she identified were Democrats, some were Republicans. How much more evidence do you need? -- IT'S ALL ON VIDEO.
These people are complete snakes -- every single one of them needs to be locked up. They're playing the politicians against each other and profiting at every turn.
And this is at the local level. Can you even imagine how much corruption there is at the national level?
Have you done your daily white male privilege sacrifice to atone for your racist and misogynistic sins?
"Trump campaign spreads false and dangerous conspiracy theories about voter fraud, confirm experts"
"Videos are Russian disinformation, anonymous source confirms"
This is false. It assumes the media have any credibility left to lose.
Yup -- exactly. If you're really curious, you can watch this video from PBS Infinite Series https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoAnYQZrNrQ. It goes into how it's literally mathematically proven that no voting system (except a dictatorship) satisfies the "Condorcet" criterion (essentially, there exists no voting system which fulfills all the properties you would expect in a reasonable voting system). Really interesting.
A problem with ranked-choice voting is that it can create very weird electoral outcomes which go against all intuition. Here is one:
candidate A: 40% 1 votes / 30% candidate C for #2 -- 10% candidate B for #2
candidate B: 31% 1 votes / All 31% of these voters has candidate A as their #2
candidate C: 29% 1 votes / 20% candidate B for #2 -- 9% candidate A for #2
In this situation, ranked-choice voting would conclude that candidate B is the winner since candidate C is eliminated, sending 20% to B and 9% to A, giving B 51% and A 49%.
However, candidate A had the most total votes in #1 AND #2 catergories. Candidate A had 40% of the #1 votes and 40% of the #2 votes. Candidate B only had 31% of the #1 votes and 30% of the #2 votes. Candidate A literally beat candidate B in both categories, but still lost.
In fact, if 2% of the voters switch from candidate B to candidate C for their #1 votes, candidate A wins in ranked-choice, even though nothing changed about how many votes candidate A got. In some sense, ranked-choice gives greater preference to the #2 votes of those who voted for a candidate who lost while ignoring the #2 votes of those who won.
It's not even the laugh. It's the smile. It creeps me the hell out.
Can't wait till Hunter Biden's obituary in WAPO: "Austere religious scholar ..."
"We must pretend like something is false even though it's probably true" -- Literally WAPO
I read it without first seeing the flair and thought it was 100% real.
I found his analysis actually really flawed and full of assumptions that make no sense.
In fact, I think that a negative slope is EXACTLY what you would expect, and seeing anything else would be very odd/impossible.
Here is one way to show this. Assume that 0% of straight-ticket voters voted Republican in a precinct (0% on x-axis). Now, the y-axis value MUST be positive since, if it were negative, the % of independent voters who voted Trump would be negative.
Similarly, if 100% of straight-ticket voters voted Republican in a precinct, the y-axis value MUST be negative since, if it were positive, the % of independent voters who voted Trump would be over 100%.
If you connect the dots, you find that the "region of possibility" has a negative slope since values on the bottom-left and top-right are impossible.
Said another way, since the y-variable is essentially %(independent voters for Trump) - x (x is the %(straight-ticket voters for Trump)), if %(independent voters for Trump) is constant, the graph is essentially y = c - x where c is constant. This graph has a negative slope.
Sadly, I think that Dr Shiva's very flawed analysis will only give fire for Democrats to discredit all of the concerns over voter fraud.
