I agree. The only reason I am here is cause I still support this movement but we need to move on from the idea of any one person and stop blindly defending him. I'm up for a new board if I'm not welcome here anymore, but what is it going to be?
Don't fuckin rewrite history. He posted the night before the event a statement that read that he and Mike Pence were in total agreement. The weekend before he also stated that there would be new evidence.
Here's the statement. But yeah, he didn't bring people there under false pretenses or anything. https://www.donaldjtrump.com/media/statement-from-president-donald-j.-trump-152020/
In reality, he filled the powder keg with powder (brought hundreds of thousands of his MOST LOYAL supporters to Washington) and then lit the match (built up for a win when he knew Pence was going to screw us all over.)
I don't care if he didn't even say a word on 1/6. This has nothing to do about his "perfect speech." He brought everyone there.
If you watch the videos, outside of the very front line, a lot of people followed them in as the police fell back. They didn't "storm" the Capitol. There have been many instances of protestors sitting inside government buildings, including our Capitol.
This is not true, despite the fact that so many people believe it and repeat without every questioning it. The US is not a corporation. Washington DC is incorporated just like most other cities and every state. You're conflating the incorporation of Washington with the US turning into a corporation. Two very different things.
That's what they are trying to do but it's not going to work. With Trump out of power, and gas prices go up and things generally become worse, we won't be in the crosshairs.
