A sort of operation chaos. Sure would be a shame. Probably safer for the good citizens of Portland to just refuse to pay taxes and engage in a tax revolt. No taxation without representation.

Hey Police, citizens carry guns, even at home, especially at home these days when police are not being allowed to enforce the law. Also, just a note, shining a 1000 lumen light in some poor guys face when he answers the door just might not be the best way to de-escalate a situation.
I think it was a normal arrest (with the exception of the officer's knee on the neck, I don't know any agency that teaches to do that). Was he obviously under the influence, yes and no doubt that contributed to his death. Did his own actions lead to his own death, yeah, if he just hadn't resisted arrest in he would have been sitting in booking instead of dead. Still have a big problem with the knee on his neck. Knees go on shoulders and buttocks, they don't go on spines and necks. This may be a problem for the officer as the subject was in cuffs and not actively resisting and I don't know what facts he can articulate to mitigate that. The other officers were doing their jobs protecting the arresting officer. Situation sucks.
