I hate to say it but this one's a fail for Memology. The two videos are not properly in sync. I'm gonna give the benefit of the doubt and say it was a honest mistake, but it's still embarrassing.
Look closely, frame by frame if you have to. The right video moves first (like with hand gestures), only after a short time does the left video move.
Also there is zero incentive to do such a thing. I've worked (non professionally for the most part) with video for over a decade and It would be way too much work. It would be much easier to just pay some interns to pretend to be journalists than to stage an elaborate VFX shot like this.
