Imagine a country like Brazil becoming a world superpower in a matter of years because all of America's makers went there with their money and ideas.
They'd take care of the real poverty problem in no time and build a powerhouse economy. Brazil enjoys mostly the same strategic global geography advantages that the US does keeping it safe from actual enemies (China etc).
Most people disapprove of Congress but approve of their particular representative. It's always "those idiots in CA keep voting for Pelosi!" and the same with them saying "how come those hillbillies keep voting for Matt Gaetz!"
Both are extremely popular among their constituents which is kind of the point.
How do we fix A and still let the people keep B?
Term limits. Elect the rep. you love to the Senate after he/she gets termed out of the House. After that, run for President or go find a job.
We need to rally around Lacy Johnson and pump MILLIONS into this race to even have a slight chance. Unfortunately we have clowns like Danielle Stella crowding the primary field.
After that, we have to figure out how to overcome the fact that Omar won 78% of the vote in the '18 election. We'll do better with a real candidate, but I'm afraid this district is too cucked for that to be possible no matter how we campaign.
The best chance is going to be someone beating her in a primary and then getting over the hump against an unknown D candidate.
I still project her to win re-election but people are vocally turned off by stupid shit like her Armenian Genocide vote (priorities amitire).
My old boss who I loved working for went for a promotion to become my new boss after we had a vacancy open up. Excellent qualifications and has a great reputation within the company. We've been hearing he's "next in line" for a while now and I was really excited to get back to working with him.
He didn't even get a proper interview after going through the first round with an HR recruiter. After a week of nonstop talking to people to figure out wtf happened, he found out that a cited reason he didn't move forward in the process is because his answer to how he'd promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace wasn't good enough.
Clown. Fucking. World.
And this shit is making it really hard for all the other normal people to want to stick around.
"There were four empty seats in the top row of the arena! Trump sucks lmaooooooo!!!!"
-CNN on Trump breaking the attendance record at every venue he visits
