Unless I'm missing something, once Trump is out of office, they can't impeach him. So that SPECIFIC threat is a non-issue.
I realize that there are plenty of other things they can do to him, but they will probably do those things anyway. He is too popular and knows too much. He is the single biggest risk to their(deep state) there is.

Ignoring the overwhelming stupidity of how this looks to impeach a president who supposedly is leaving in a week, I wonder what impact it has on peoples opinion?

I had hoped that something related to rounding up the deep state would be communicated during his speech at the wall, but would have been very surprised if it did.
There is nothing different in what he is able to do under the EO or IA. He is still the president until he isn't.
His language, while being much more consistent with a concession; he did not concede. If nothing else it might have bought some more time with the fucking swamp in congress if they think he's quitting.
I am not telling anyone how they should think about this, just saying what I think for what it's worth.
