I think the most important thing is to devolve power back to the states and local governments. The closer the power is to the people, the easier it is to see when things are unusual

I think what he means is if you don't want to see looney posts, you have to block them yourself, specifically because it is a free-speech platform. So he may have been using the term incorrectly.

which is funny, since wasn't it the ACLU who once defended the rights of actual neo-nazis in the past?

well fortunately they actually get the same legal protection from that that facebook twitter etc. get, so long as they don't explicitly assist with it and take it down when ordered since it is illegal content.

that would mean you can't. Honestly probably a good thing they are privately owned since there isn't a risk of a hostile takeover or shareholders pressuring them.

Most of the "worship" of Lord Gaben is just a meme at this point.

The complaint wasn't that the new consoles were higher than 90% of the steam survey, the complaint was how that was portrayed in gaming media. The steam survey includes ANY computer with steam installed (even if it can't play anything newer than rome total war), but it was being portrayed as if this meant that the consoles were a better option than a serious gaming PC.

they probably weren't expecting this at the time. Remember, they have been around for years before they really started gaining prominence recently.

That being said, they did say that they build on bare metal rather than using Amazon's proprietary services, which should mean they can transfer to another provided with (relatively) minimal work.

As far as anyone knows, it is the only communication app that implements truly secure end-to-end encryption, especially when it comes to Group Messages. That's because it uses a well-vetted standard, and is fully open-source.
