This is actually legit and correct. I own a company and have 30+ employees. If one would hear the stories I do (both real and fabricated) then one would understand the differences of empathy and sympathy. I am always empathetic to each and every case, while also using candor, which is a reason the directors, managers and employees all know that I will shoot straight and always give them the benefit of the doubt. However, I do lack the sympathy in the business setting because it seems that the same 50% of people are always creating havoc in their own lives. Hell, I have an employee that has been in the top 5% of earners in the nation for 5 years straight and he is super broke, every month, and in way more debt now than he was 5 years ago. I, with my family, live on about 1/3 of what his monthly expenses are and I tried to even help him get rid of his 20+ toys that are all financed. He wouldn't do it. This is just one of hundreds of stories I have like this. So, to chuckachookah, I concur!

This ^^^. Kinda like, "I paid you the $50k I owed you". You: "It was monopoly money!", them, "But it was $50k, right? So shut up!". Logic always fails in these scenarios.

Same here! Who is to say the primaries were not 'gamed' though?

So, what will the 3 dissenters have to say and what what will we the people do about an obvious blatant individual that has no intent of holding up the constitution? 2/3 vote is needed for removal and that isn’t happening in today’s house or senate, 70% of all of them are dirty too.

You sure we dropped the ball? Perhaps we were given who they wanted to give us? 2020 is the year to rectify all of that moving forward.

You are absolutely correct in your assertion. The other thing I try to do (btw, I am a rather conservative mid-30s, old school family-man) is help my brethren understand the difference between a liberal and a progressive, haha! I actually wholly enjoy a beer and a nice 'data-filled' conversation with some of my childhood friends, who just so happen to be liberal, and we will go over our opinions and reasoning. It helps me be inflective of why I have a certain viewpoint, or on some rare occasions I may change my thought, partially, on that subject. I think that is healthy. However, progressive-communists, a beer and a conversation can not be had with these types and it is not worth trying. It is like talking to a completely drunk person. Glad to you have you here at thedonald and keep chiming in with good information, it helps the whole cause. Godspeed!

This OP is the exact definition of a 'based' liberal. I have plenty of friends who are liberal, but they tend to vote more republican or independent the last decade because the democratic party has moved way too far left for true liberals. This post and explanation is based as well. I'm keeping my eyes, ears and 'mind' open throughout this scenario. I think you are correct in your perspective but the layers to the game have me staying dynamically objective and agile in thought as this thing plays out. Thanks for the great post!

Socially liberal would be a republican. Classical liberal would also be a republican in 2020. JFK in 2020 is a republican. To be a democrat and 'tote' the line one would need to be communistic, true socialistic or fascist. These are true statements just going by the current party policies.

My wife's family (from up north) said they are definitely retiring here in TX in the next few years because every time they come visit the people are so nice and the roads and cities are well-kept with people that seem way 'happier' than they are used to up north.

Texas is like America in the fact that you don't have to be born in Texas to be blood Texan!

Texas BBQ is definitely my favorite style of BBQ, I have a 250 gallon smoker I use nearly every weekend and brisket, ribs, chicken or some other type of proper BBQ is going to be on that thing and I never have less than a half cord of oak and pecan!

Same ^2. Born, raised and live here still. 1/2 my family is from Louisiana and the other 1/2 Texas. All of my immediate family and both parents are in good ole TX! I'll be staying here indefinitely and fighting to keep TX the state we love and grew up with - if only for my and other fellow Texans' kids sake.

This seems way more likely and fits the script of the MSM parroting a lying narrative.

I hope the people in charge of the disinformation media moguls are prosecuted and sent away.
