He sold us out to return to business as usual, flowery rhetoric and platitudes about family, life, liberty, the American way, yadda yadda, “come vote for me or the Dems will ban God and guns.” Sounds stupid but this is what Cruz and his like think, that they are the only check against the Left, so we have no choice but to hold our nose and vote for them.

Because he still needs our votes, and he needs to save face. Cruz has been more prudent than the likes of McConnell or Graham, but he’s still a politician. This is the game they play.
