Civil cases only need a preponderance of evidence, which means more than 50% evidence points to him "doing" the crime. Criminal trials require "beyond a reasonable doubt", in which it's roughly 97-99% sure he "did" it. Therefore, it's good news if these civil cases are already dismissed, as they hold a lower bar for guilty.
