I loved Mulberry Street when I was a kid -- such a fun book. I am going to have to go hunt down a copy now to keep for posterity.
If I could afford it, I would literally just buy all books now, as it seems it is only a matter of time before they ban at least half of them.
I know there was propaganda before. But dear God, I have never seen such blatant propaganda as I have lately.
I agree. I am #1 & #2 for sure... but I am really ready for the world to go back to normal where I am the weird one 100%. I am definitely anti-lockdown -- but I still want to keep my remote-work, relatively-boring life -- just have everyone else get to go back to what they like too.
I am all for a mother registering her unborn child as a citizen and giving them full rights as a citizen so they can collect their $500 child tax credit for that unborn child. As long as they get full citizen rights and that means you don't get to murder them after you collect your payment.
But as it stands, I see a literal business forming of women getting pregnant, collecting tax credits, aborting their babies and they will probably say it is a good thing because we get more material on which to do medical research. We already have people having babies for welfare -- it doesn't seem to be much of a stretch to get them to get pregnant and have an abortion for a nice little paycheck each spring.
I have asthma and I use an inhaler that looks awfully similar to the ones she flashed (which by the way, I think, were all the same -- they normally have different cases for the different medications and that one looks like my basic albuterol inhaler).
Don't get me wrong asthma is scary. Breathing is important, as you can imagine, and something that makes it suddenly hard to breathe is really quite terrifying.
Asthma attacks are really scary. It makes you feel super panicky.
Kind of like when you wear a mask and it makes it harder to breathe -- it sort of feels like that when you first are having an asthma attack -- like you are breathing through a blanket.
Which is why I really really hate wearing masks and avoid it as much as possible.
I also think its pretty incredible that someone with such bad asthma as to need an "iron lung" (not sure what that was -- honestly looked like an external hard drive, but what do I know -- I suppose it could have been a nebulizer, which is another way to inhale medication when you can't take a good deep breath to use the inhaler) can scream at that level for that long without taking a breath.
Pretty freaking amazing if you ask me.

I have been reaching for the Word every time I feel the way you describe and seeking out the hope of Jesus.
One particular book of the Bible that has been very valuable to me has been Habakkuk. It is this little tiny 3 chapter book in the Old Testament. The prophet Habakkuk was complaining to God, saying -- look at how horrid our people have become -- they are just awful! Why aren't you doing anything about this? and God basically answers "Oh, you think I'm not doing anything? I'm gearing up your enemies to come and wipe you all out" -- what proceeds is a very interesting conversation between Habakkuk and God about those who are evil and those who put their faith in Him. It has been very encouraging to me over the past several months and I keep seeing it referenced in my travels on the interwebs, so I can only assume that it has spoken to others in a similar fashion.
Above all, I just want you to know that there are a lot of people who are feeling lost like you -- I think we all do at some point or another. But I hold tight to my faith in God -- we WILL win this war of good versus evil! I know that! -- and I hold tight to my faith in the human spirit -- I see all of the Pedes here and I know that we will not let our country go like this lying down. I know that we will, together, do all we can to stave off this evil. And I believe and have faith that we are doing God's work and we have God on our side and if He is for us, who can be against us?
Friend, I know this may sound corny or shallow or silly, but I promise it comes from a heart filled with love for you and my fellow Pedes and a desire to give you support when you need it the most.

While I do agree, I love telling people that it was watching CNN back in 2015 that made me a Trump supporter! It's true. I used to watch CNN all day long and when Trump entered politics limnediately saw how they lied about him! Never looked back!
I know this will probably be buried, but I wanted to express my heartfelt thanks. I left Reddit when they banned the Donald and never looked back. But I really did miss some of my other subs like crafts even though I hated dealing with how they could make literally anything political. I would drive 50 miles to shop at a place that said I didn't have to wear a mask, just to support them and give a big middle finger to the bipolar businesses that just a year ago refused to service me if i was WEARING a mask and now refuse to serve me if I am not.
