With that said, would you agree that it very clear in the article? What it says is that the state is 7.9% positive -- "the percentage positive in the state is 7.9%"
If not an outright lie, do you think it is misleading? I think it is language like this that is causing people to think that many more people are sick/dead from COVID than is actually the case.
"7.9% of people tested for COVID-19 are found to be positive." Not that scary.
"The percentage positive in NC is 7.9%." To me, implies that 7.9% of our population is positive.
That's the difference between the 3,885 people it speaks of who were positive as of today versus 828,559 people (roughly the population of the city of Charlotte) who would have to be COVID positive to be 7.9% of our population.

I am also in NC and I remember there being signs that said you do not have to show your ID in THIS election... I remember thinking that perhaps our VoterID had been reinstated but too late for this election and would be applied to future elections. Does that make any sense, not really, now that I think on it... but I do wonder if that is what it is...

I think it would be awfully telling if they've been getting low ratings all week to suddenly have ONE hour where there is a ton of traffic and then dead again... it shows who we are REALLY with -- Trump, not Fox.
What might be more interesting is to cross reference who voted for Obama in 2012 and who then swapped over and voted for Trump in 2016 and/or 2020. My guess is you will quickly find that anyone who was a REAL liberal was smart enough to figure out what President was keeping our liberties protected.
I was someone who considered myself liberal. This president is pulling us out of wars! He is making peace in the Middle East. He is the first president in my lifetime to not start a new war. He wants us to have CHOICE. He wants us to be able to SPEAK FREELY. He wants us to have liberty and pursue happiness. He wants equal opportunities for all Americans. He makes it easier for people to work and be successful. He puts more money in our pocket and gets rid of some of the red tape.
As someone who considered myself a liberal, those are all things I valued then and I still value today. There is only one person running for President who values those things. What still boggles my mind is how this is not an easy choice for other people I knew in my pre-Trump life... people who I thought believed the same way I do.
Brainwashing is the only thing I can think of. Either that or aliens. I know that sounds crazy, but after six years of watching this go down and them still beating the dead horse, its the only conclusion I can come to.

Here's the thing: one of the "big ten" is do not bear false witness. This person was a PASTOR who was supposed to be leading the flock and instead just completely LIED to them for who knows how long.
This pastor was fired for bearing false witness against the congregation and rightfully so. Making it about the transgender part is for politics, period. I don't want a pastor in my church who feels it is ok to live a complete lie and look at me and lie about who they are. I would feel the same if they were lying about anything else to such an extent.

It never occurs to them that she might be PROUD of her culture. Maybe I am just a dumb white racist, but I never saw anything negative about Aunt Jemima -- I always thought she seemed warm and loving and like my grandma who always made delicious food whenever we came to visit.
