A privately owned business in a free country does not really mean they can do whatever the hell they want. The real solution is to make an amendment to the constitution for the digital era.
I would suggest for a start that this new amendment would cover personal data, and speech. For example i would want each citizen to own their own data and be able to force corporations to share, edit, and delete what is stored. I would also want it to force all companies, including financial systems, to no longer be able to discriminate or deny service against citizens based on anything other than illegal activity. This does not mean you can force a private company to bake a cake, but it does mean that paypal can not deny you service because you are a republican or democrat.

I think Trump said the elderly should take it because they are at risk. Young healthy adults and children don't need it. I'm not taking this vaccine due to the fact that its the first MRNA vaccine openly pushed. Older vaccines for other viruses are not for low risk viruses that have less than 1% kill rate. If covid had a 10% kill rate then I would take the risk in a second. But look at the news about covid variants and see that there will be a new covid every year. I also agree that Science and religion are not opposites, however when religion dictates that the moon was split in half and there is no scientific evidence, which side wins. When religion tells you that every creature on earth came from two descendants that fit on a boat during a global flood even though its not physically possible, which side wins. As an ex-christian what broke the wall for me was seeing how absurd the concept of hell was. Not because I wanted to sin, but because if hell exists then god in not all powerful or all caring. If you have children and could stop them from going to a place to be tortured by a really bad person for all eternity, wouldn't you stop them? Your god is 100% complicit in satan's actions and could stop him at any time. If god was the first, and knew everything before he created the universe, then he knew who satan would be and what he would do. I'll come off my horse too. Yes there are lots of atheists out there who hate religious people, but they normally hate religion more. Yes I will admit that if all you taught people is that we are biological machines and we have zero consequences to our actions that our society would fall apart. That's why its still important to teach right from wrong. Atheists still feel the same emotions you do. Most of would recoil at the thought of rape, not because we are scared of a lake of fire, but because in our core being we can empathize how we would feel if that happened to our mothers, or wife, or daughters. If i see a dog get hit by a car i feel bad even thought it did not have a soul, do you? Why would you care about something without a soul?
I went through a period in my life where i thought it was bad to indoctrinate children to say the pledge of allegiance every day. In my mind at that time i looked at it like north korea. I think socialism is often rooted in people that think the world owes them something. They were never taught to be self reliant and earn. I also think socialism can be the product of unfettered capitalism. If you look at the wealth gap in the US it feels that more and more billionaires are steering our ship. At some point there is a revolt. That revolt will come from those who are the have nots. The have nots will want a system that was not like the one before. Its a very difficult balancing game to make a system that encourages freedom, but at the same time is not manipulated by the 1%.

As for atheists being color blind, that is one way of looking at it. I think that religious people go through life with blinders on so they can't really see what's actually going on.
