Did you take half the states “for” the lawsuit and switch them to “against” the lawsuit? Because you might have a promising career as a democratic election judge

A quorum is the amount of legislators required for either body to conduct official business.

That would have no legal bearing on the case; however, I think OP’s point was that it would create an overwhelming burden on SCOTUS to seriously take up the case because you would have , in effect, a request of the Senate and the President asking SCOTUS to issue a ruling. A quorum of state AG’s is not the same as the House or Senate officially making a request but it ain’t nothing.

For SCOTUS to cower behind the mountain of compromising pics and videos that China (allegedly) holds over Roberts’ head would blast a silence more deafening than that created by Gov Kemp reeeeing “there’s not enough evidence to examine the evidence therefore we must destroy the evidence lest anyone examine it!”

Is this all a variation of html markup?

If someone has never coded anything but is interested in figuring out a little more about how all this stuff works, where would they start?

I’m not looking to “learn to code” or anything but just learning the basics of how to add bold, italics, and strikethrough with characters felt like a small superpower but I never know where else those skills can be used and I am curious what other tricks are out there for various websites.

It’s similar to when I first learned a few shortcut keys and thought I had stumbled upon the holy grail of Microsoft tricks

“That is your “posse”? Those idiots over THERE? Holy hell, THEY’RE the poster children for fetal alcohol syndrome with THEIR Cro Magnon skulls and under-developed facial features. I like having friends TOO but you should be more selective. You and that dreadlocked dipshit behind you don’t have TWO brain cells TO share between the TWO of you.”

You’re missing the point. The argument was whether or not he was born in America.

The debate was NOT what the implications would have been if he were born in Ethiopia to sm Ethiopian father with Ethiopian citizenship.

The reason the debate kept coming up was because of the ramifications of that claim.

Obama has said, on tape, that he was born there and his brother has confirmed this and has produced an Ethiopian birth certificate so the debate has legitimate origins.

You can argue the validity of the claim that he was born there but the only reason that claim mattered was because if the claim was true it would mean he was not a natural born citizen.

No. If that’s all it took there would not have been a huge debate over whether he was born in Hawaii or Ethiopia

Romney’s eligibility was questioned but never went to SCOTUS because he lost.

Who said your kids were natural born citizens? Did they also have citizenship in their birth country or their mother’s home country (if different from their birth country)?

The issue is that SCOTUS has never clearly ruled on this and it’s debated among legal scholars.

There was a federal statute passed in the early 1900s with some impact on Natural Born Citizenship but I think it primarily impacted Panama Canal and maybe military bases.

The child of two US citizens that is born abroad (and does not receive citizenship elsewhere is likely a natural born citizen. But the child of one US citizen born abroad is less certain. As are those who qualify via the “anchor baby” clause.

No, he claimed to have been born in America and there was a huge debate over whether or not he was qualified to be president because a ton of evidence indicated that he was born in Ethiopia.

The rules for natural born citizen have been amended over the years and that could impact Ted but I think Ted was on a military base to parents who were out of the country on gov’t assignment and therefore that counts as us soil.

I’d have to look up the rules again to be sure.

Parent as citizen isn’t all it takes. Obama’s mom was a US Citizen.

Imagine a Cruz/Desantis ticket.

although DeSantis has been such a solid gov of such a difficult state that I’d probably want him top of ticket. Cruz has a better chance of adopting some of that Trump swagger

They probably running all that evidence through the same “retention protocol” as all the Epstein pictures and videos from his original arrest. The FBI is there to cover up crimes; not to prosecute them.

We need to find another unopposed in same area to see how many straight democratic ticket voters there were.

That would give us an idea of how many people voted for an unopposed candidate.

What did I miss? Where did all the cucumber memes come from?

4
kekNation 4 points ago +4 / -0

Not necessarily. In the initial test of 100 ballots the votes had been miscounted.

One Trump vote was not counted as all and one Vote was counted for Biden (a 2 vote swing) for a total impact of 3 votes (-2 for Trump and +1 for Biden).
